Very clean and spacious room. For the price, this is great value for money. The staff were very helpful and polite and being next door to the Toby carvery was very convenient. The beds were a bit small.

Great location, Fab price. Less than 10 minutes walk to Hilsea train station with regular services to Portsmouth and Winchester as well as London. There is a car park and Toby Carvery on site and huge Lidl supermarket opposite. Quick links to M27 to get away quickly. ||The hotel offers check in from 15.00 ( before that there was no one on reception). Check out was drop your key in a drop box. There was an automated phone box to call taxi's and there was a vending machine in reception.||The gentleman checking us in later in the night was very pleasant and helpful ( took in to account my friend needed a ground floor room due to her mobility and I'd forgotten to request). He couldn't have been more accommodating ( didn't catch his name but dark hair with a beard and softly spoken).||The room was very spacious and comfortable. Tea /coffee making facilities and tv with Freeview. No phone charges near bed but spare socket next to kettle. Room was quiet and backed on to lawns and houses.||Bathroom was spacious with shower jel in shower and plenty of towels. Big counter opposite mirror. Taps were a bit strange as far apart and when you switched taps on to wash hands, water went over the counter.||Overall a fab stay in a convenient location for Portsmouth and Winchester. Thank you all.

We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The cleaning lady was also very friendly. She made sure that we had enough teas and coffees etc. Parking was easy too. Bus stop outside for easy access to Portsmouth. An ideal place to stay.

A really simple, easy, comfortable and warm Travelodge. Seems to get some stick for the age but I really like the character of the place. Warm room, cozy bed, easy parking and functioning bathroom. Don't really need much else for a single night stay. For the price I'd stay again for sure, especially as somewhere to crash for business visits.

Unfortunately our stay was not the greatest. If you want peace and quiet and relaxation this travelodge is not the best. Walls are so thin we heard the person one side snoring throughout the night, and the other side we had then coughing. Also, one night the whole upper corridor smelt of cannabis. Due to its location we also had the noise from the pub kicking out and some guests returned in the early hours and where shouting and yelling all the way along the corridor and continued whilst in their room.

We stayed on a Saturday night, the room was very cold but soon warmed up when the heater was turned on. The room wasn't very clean and particularly the bathroom. The shower had very little pressure and took a long time to shower. The walls must be very thin because we could hear everything going on in adjacent rooms and the noise seemed to go on all night. The only plus side was the room rate was cheap.

Was given a ground floor room that the previous occupant had clearly been smoking in. Travel lodge had to have known about this but still let the room out. The lady on reception Amy was lovely and I think the manager of the hotel had pressured her to still let the let room out. She sorted me a new room and it was clear she had been given orders by the manager who boasts of sorting issues out with the certificate on reception. I strongly believe the manager of this hotel is skilled in hiding issues and getting his team to hide them for him. This is the worst hotel I've ever stopped in. Who allows rooms to be let that have been smoked in . Avoid this hotel and someone please give Amy a rise.

The room i stayed in was nice, but the only problem with the room was the lack of plug sockets by the side of the bed. The fire alarm went off during my stay and there was only one person who was a staff member that handled all of the customers
