For what we paid it’s a great hotel. It’s in a great location - extremely clean!!! I cannot fault the cleanliness at all. Room is basic but we expected this. A better standard of handwash / shower wash would be brilliant. Next time would pay more for a bigger room. It’s in a great and central location across the road from the restaurants and bars. |The air conditioning is controlled by reception but if you speak to them they can change the temperature for you. Also there is an electric heater in the room. Again we didn’t pay a lot so didn’t expect luxury.|The breakfast was great - plenty of food.|We will use this hotel again when we come back to Stockport. Thank you to all the staff

I had heard some colleagues mention this hotel was a little ropey but I was pleasantly surprised that check in was smooth even though I rocked up around 10pm.

The room was basic and the duvet and pillows were average at best however I got a decent night's sleep and the breakfast was better than the Holiday inn express.

Would stay again but maybe bring a better pillow!

Typical of the Travelodge franchise. Rooms are fairly basic but fine for 1 or 2 nights. Storage in the rooms is virtually non-existent, just 1 hanging rail but no drawer space at all. Device charging points are provided so no need to bring a charger, just the cable. Worth checking beforehand if this facility is provided at all Travelodges.|||| There is a good but same options every day at breakfast. Would have liked fried eggs as an alternative to scrambled.

I've just come home from an overnight trip up to Stockport on business. I was booked in to this Travelodge with dinner and breakfast. On arrival, I could see this hotel has had a significant update - the place looked great. There were a few people checking in in front of me, and without trying to overhear too much, one guest had obviously had a bit of a bad experience, but not with the hotel, and he was praising the counter staff for helping him get settled and sorted. I was checked in, and headed up to my room - which was immaculate. Everything you expect, and nothing more or nothing less. The en suite was the new shower room type, and I cannot fault the hotel or the room - everything was great. I was able to unpack, and finish off some work for an hour before heading down to dinner. A slight incident occurred in the bar/cafe, where one of the other guests/patrons was a little disgruntled at the lack of service, but personally I completely disagreed with him. Maybe I have more patience, but when you have the same staff checking guests in whilst also having to take food and drinks orders at the bar, some minor delays are inevitable, and were perfectly handled there and then. Before this becomes an absolute monster of an essay, let me get to what I really wanted to say. Louis and Sarah, who were on duty last night, were absolutely BRILLIANT. Top job, and I must commend them for their service, their attitude, friendliness and professionalism 10/10.||Breakfast, I'm glad to say, was a similar story. Simone was the morning host, and was also SUPERB. Another 10/10. Friendly, courteous, professional and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar/cafe during breakfast. ||If you are booked in to a Travelodge, you generally know what you are going to get, which is a good thing, but this stay exceeded all my expectations. from the decor and standards of the common areas, to the quality of the room. But if you come to stay at theis Travelodge, you will interact with some of the best staff I have met.||I didn't catch all of the staff names, but these were the three members of the team I wanted to write about. So thank you again, to Sarah, Louis and Simone.

We stayed in this hotel one night as we had early flight from Manchester's airport. We had quiet room on the 3rd floor, bed was very comfortable, room was clean but is very small without any space where to put luggage on, but the floor. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant which was OK. The lady receptionist was very helpful. I would give this hotel 4 stars in case the car park would be at the hotel. I felt not safe to walk at 4.30 am about 20 minutes in darkness to NCP Stockport Exchange public parking.

I arrived half an hour ago. Spoke to Stu on reception. What a helpful guy. He told me everything I needed to know. He told me where the car park was and how to get there. Also where the local food establishments were. I’m so impressed already. My room is clean and spaceous. I’d definitely recommend a stay here. Stu is a credit to the company. |Jim MacDonald.

I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it's been okay, we stay here because it's cheap and very convenient, This time I stayed it was completely different, the rooms have changed the bar area has changed everything has been done up and it doesn't even look like a travelodge anymore, Tiffany checked us in and told us about the new bar and food and we decided to eat here for the first time, my partner had a pizza and I had the curry and it was very very nice, the chef even came out to ask how our meal was, the little touches like that mean everything, it was that good we had breakfast the next morning, Steve explained how it worked and if we needed the pancakes hot he would do it for us, again we was asked how the food was I believe he was called Robert that was cooking and again another amazing food, My room had a double bed and a single bed and it had plenty of room, I asked the girl the next morning for extra towels and she gave them us, I didn't catch her name but she was very polite, This hotel has gone from okay to very very good

I actually know there’s been some bad reviews here, which made me unsure but after staying here bank holiday weekend just gone it was actually amazing. The staff were amazing. It was a little bit noisy due to some customers slamming the doors that’s it, but we were spoke to the staff and we got a free breakfast straight away. Becky the supervisor and Matthew another colleague that worked there were absolutely amazing and went the extra mile and the rooms were actually great and I had a good night sleep so if anyone that’s wondering, please don’t hesitate to go and visit and stay. It’s a great location great team.
