Absolutely one of the best travel lodges I have ever stayed in. We stayed here on a Monday evening as due to long distance friendships meant having to meet somewhere central to catch up. We 3 girls just wanted a room for the night, after a few drinks in Barnsley town centre then uber back to room, for a few glasses of Prosecco and room snacks. We all met in the carpark at 2pm, we knew we couldn’t check in till 3pm. However it was a red hot day and so we were cheeky and popped in to ask if there was a fridge we could put our Prosecco in, (us girls can’t drink it warm!!) |We met Cath and Helen who were absolutely fantastic, they popped our wine in their own staff fridge for us, and showed us what our room would be like. So clean, the girls were proud of their hotel and it showed with their work. They made our stay extra special. Also the evening member of staff (sorry I didn’t catch your name) we had had a few drinks obviously!! But he was very friendly and even when my friend dropped and smashed a glass in reception he was so helpful and reassured us it was ok! |Would absolutely recommend this stay, location perfect with Burger King and Costa within the grounds. For the price we paid it was amazing. Travel lodges management your staff are a credit to your company.

We are staying here overnight and first impression was excellent, as we entered the reception area it smelt and looked really clean and fresh. The guy on reception greeted us with a smile and quickly checked us in. The room was a good comfortable size and very clean and also smelt fresh too. The decor and furnishing were also in excellent condition and paintwork and decoration of the room really nice. We have stayed in quite a few Travelodge and by far this is the best one.|North bound hotel.

Perfect stop over. Considering that it’s so near the motorway I was surprised how quiet it was in the room.
Room was spacious. Well equipped. Very clean and comfortable

For a stopover heading up the M1 this is a good choice. Clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. The staff are all lovely people. The rooms have been freshened up with Freeview channels and even a bath/ shower. No lift but it's only a two story building and staff are very accommodating space permitting.Recommended and would return. Close to services shops and services too if you need a bite to eat too.

My wife and kids recently stayed here and said it was very good as a hotel and a bargain at £35 or whatever it cost. However, I just got a £60 fine for the parking and she wasn’t told at reception about having to register or anything, so I think for £95 a night it’s not so good. Consider this a warning to be careful if you park here to ask about how to register your details!

I am usually not a big fan of Travel lodges but this one was cool simply because they had more comfortable beds which have been upgraded to have charger spots by the bed side.

The location isn't very great because there are not many activities around but to be fair it's by the motor way, with your car you can access anywhere close by easily

The room were nice and tidy. All the staff were friendly especially Ann at reception welcomed with a wonderful smile and helped us a lot to ease the check in process. ||Great location and at easy access to food and amenities.||Personally, felt better than any other travelodge. Warm welcoming. Will book again definitely.

I was pleasantly pleased with the excellent service and support from Angie and the team. Friendly and welcoming at reception.|First time staying and able to support my needs. ||No noise despite being close to the motorway. Plenty of parking and free.
