Great central location, we opted for a standard double room and it was adequate for a few days stay, my only niggle was the room didn't have any drawers for socks underwear only a shelf and a couple of coat hangers along a very short pole.
Slept like a log as the bed was so comfy, great shower.. awesome breakfast 😁

This Travelodge is very central to everything. It's a 10 min walk to the railway station and a 5 minute walk to York city centre. Hotel was nice and we were met by Anastasia who was very friendly and happy to help. Always went above and beyond. The only problem with all Travelodge, there is no air conditioning so please remember this when booking at a hot time of the year. We had a super room and it was nice to have a fridge and kettle. Free water is always available. I would recommend this hotel but only when it is cooler weather.

Rooms are standard fare but at least this one had more modern tv sets. (We stayed in Hartlepool travelodge and their tv sets were ancient)||Hdmi sockets were accessible but are disconnected and greyed out in the remotes input menu. SHAME|It really spoils a holiday not being able to watch streaming services on the larger screen.||Summertime so windows need to be open means A LOT OF NOISE especially if given a roadside room.|Fan was provided in room which was very nice.||The usual DOOR SLAMMING AND SHAKING THE BUILDING scenario, surely there is an answer to this ? Someone closes their door anywhere in the building and everyone knows about it !||Water in the bathroom was fast flowing which was nice, again Hartlepool Travelodge was like a trickle.||Would certainly recommend staying here, staff were lovely but the usual Travelodge irritations, noisy door closing, lack of access to tv inputs, small televisions, make this less of a joy than it should be.

We booked a super room for our anniversary and was hoping for so much more than we got, uncomfortable bed, breakfast not very good as some items were missing. Never book an evening meal as food is disgusting and most items are unavailable. Rooms very dusty and far from clean, finger prints on bathroom door, horrible, won’t be returning to a Travelodge anywhere.

Centrally located and a short walk from railway station. Great staff. Even better when work in carpark will be finished. 310 central to the works. I would stay here again without problem though not in this room.

Staff friendly, but room terrible. Curtains closed on arrival and from the photo you can see why! It looks like a dump and literally sounds like you’re on an aeroplane! No aircon, so it’s like a sauna. So disappointed, we’ve had this room booked for months and this is what we get. No availability to swap rooms. We will not be back and I don’t recommend it. 😡

The location of this hotel is really good , but the experience is lacklustre. I had a SuperRoom but did not receive a ‘Super’ experience. The curtains are way too short , so it’s hard to sleep because the room is so bright. I stayed for a couple of nights and woke up around 5:30 every day when the sun rose. It’s also very noisy due to works being done outside. They can’t control it , but it’s very loud starting from around 7am so it would easily wake anyone up - some earplugs would have been appreciated. There was also a lot of noise in corridors both nights , which is really annoying since there are signs stating to be quiet. Also there was a hair on my towel and some stains on the shower curtains. If this is the premium room I wonder what the standard room is like. I will admit , the mini fridge was nice but i won’t stay here again.

I stayed here ahead of a job interview at a nearby company.
Expectations always need to be calibrated to the hotel; you can't expect the Hilton at a Travelodge. However, my room clearly had only targeted cleaning, with substantial dust coatings on too many horizontal surfaces. I felt this was below expectation and I've knocked off a star for this alone.
That said, the room was otherwise well prepared and the bed was comfortable; I got a good sleep ahead of my interview.
I have seen other reviewers complain of noise overnight from adjacent establishments, however I had a room at the back of the hotel where it was very quiet.
I'd stay here again, for the right price.
