I ordered through just eat, I got the avocado breakfast toast and American fruit pancakes which came to £23.21 including 10p for a paper bag and £2.30 service charge.
Expensive, but the food is high quality, the avocado toast comes with an egg sausage, bacon and halloumi sourdough was fresh with a beautiful rich buttery flavour. I have not had the pancakes yet but they looked very nice as well, with berries, maply syrup and fresh cream.

Arrived on a Saturday at 1300 so a very busy time, the staff got us a table quickly and took our orders promptly and were very professional and polite, they also checked on allergies which often gets missed.

We ordered our food and even though it was busy it seemed to be cooked fresh and arrived in about 10 minutes, which shows that their system from order, to kitchen to waiting staff is very smooth and well drilled.

The food portions were generous and tasted great and the cost was very competitive for the type of establishment and its location in the centre of Durham a stones throw from the town hall and Riverside Bridge.

Iced latte, cappuccino, eggs florentine, avocado and goats cheese on sourdough and a dessert each (lemon tart and lemon meringue - not pictured) came to £35.

I will come again when in Durham.

The interior design of the new Treats cafe is lovely - both pretty and very clean. The food was satisfactory, unfortunately the gluten free bread served is the cheap, sweet bread, so I didn’t particularly like the toastie. That being said, the filling and side salad was good, and my only complaint was the gluten free bread (it’d be nice if they could get a different one). The staff were so wonderful and very friendly! They were excellent at answering questions - very patient and approachable.

We ordered cheesecake for birthday party with a message saying ‘Happy Birthday’. It costs us 32 pounds a whole cake but then they brought 8 pieces of already cut cake without any messages which wasn’t what we agreed at first. So we asked them to fix it, they told us to come back an hour later so we did with a promise that they will bake us new cake. But what we got is just a plain no decoration cheesecake with only ‘Happy Birthday’ written on top and a cake looked like the assemble of mini already cut cake. NOT RECOMMEND to order this shop if you don’t want your party got ruin.

Edit: I sent the email as owner suggested in comment below since Monday. Today is Thursday and it’s radio silence, not reply at all.

Lovely cosy cafe/restaurant above the street in Central Durham. Staff very friendly and even welcome dogs.

Brunch was prepared quickly in good sized portions and coffees were perfect. Would be the kind of place to return to weekly if we were locals.
