I can honestly say this place is amazing! Since we got there the views, the calmness and the colours around are just stunning! We stayed one week at the Shippen and we will be back this year! The cottage is lovely and it has everything you need, the host is there if you need him, the chickens are so friendly and come inside if you allow them! Everything was exactly as we wished. Cannot fine a better place and so cozy and welcoming.

Cannot wait to come back!!

We booked the 1 bedroom apartment through Airbnb and were contacted by the owner to be moved to the 2 bedroom cottage for the same price, to this we agreed and felt very happy with the extra space and bedrooms.||The location of the properties is hard to find as the lanes are tight however once you arrive there it is totally worth it. It is also worth noting there is no phone signal here at all.||We stayed during a warm august weekend, however the cottage was cold, I can imagine in autumn and winter this could become very very cold. ||There is a lovely farm feel to the grounds, with chickens and other animals walking around.||If you are a large group/family this would be an incredible place to book out and share as there are multiple units to hire.

We stayed in the Barn cottage, which was lovely and big enough for us (3 adults). Everything you might need during your stay is included, kitchen is equipped with pots and pans to make breakfast and dinner (if you feel like cooking). But it's a short drive to nearby towns too (we recommend visiting Fowey). Very quiet and peaceful place full of character, with forest and a small stream almost at your door. Our dog enjoyed the stay as much as we did 😉 there is no phone signal there but WiFi was available. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

Stayed here with my toddler son last week (April 2021) and we had a wonderful time.
My son called it ‘the farm’ due to the play equipment, wildlife and chickens!
The peaceful morning walks through the on-site forest trail were amazing and the cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed.

There’s lots to do and see a short car drive away in all directions including beaches, attractions and scenic walks.

A peaceful and relaxing oasis in Cornwall.

We have just had a wonderful stay in Little Shippen at Tresarran cottages. The place is so peaceful. There are chickens and ducks roaming free and you can buy their eggs in the laundry room. There is even a walk through the woods along a path that follows a little stream, which our dog loved!
The cottage itself was clean and comfortable. It is very cosy but there was plenty of room for us and our dog. It had everything we needed. We drove into Looe most of the time, however, there is a walk from the cottage, that follows a river, all the way into Looe, which we did one day. A great 6 mile walk! We caught the train back to Duloe and then walked back to Herodsfoot from there (about a 40 min walk) A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

We have just returned from these cottages having stayed in Shippen for 7 nights. First of all the cottage itself was beautiful, had a lovely log burner and had a very old school feel with some modern features like a big TV with Netflix etc, also the internet was surprisingly fast for the location I streamed my football teams 3pm Saturday kick off no problem. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The grounds of the cottage are wonderfully set in the middle of some stunning woodland, there are even some sassy chickens which greet you every morning. Shared laundry and visitor information room too which is handy. The owners are friendly and are always on hand if needed. Lastly the location is perfect, 15 mins from Looe, same time to liskeard and surrounded by lots of places to visit and things to do. Our stay was honestly amazing, I couldn't rate this place any higher.

We have just got back from a fabulous week at Tresarran Cottages. Having stayed here some 18 years ago it was nice to go back this time with our young children and dog, and for it to still be as lovely as we remembered it. The cottages are set in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings, there are extensive grounds and woodland to explore and a play area for the children. The owners Faye and Mark are so welcoming and friendly, they are always on hand if needed and nothing is too much trouble.
The cottage was very clean, well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There are free range chickens on site who were certainly one of the highlights of our week! They are so friendly and our children enjoyed feeding them, we were even lucky enough to enjoy some of the their eggs for breakfast on one of the days.
Tresarran Cottages are in a tiny village, in rural Cornwall and really give you the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere- the perfect place to relax and unwind. Yet it is only a 20 minute or so drive to Looe or Polpero, and there is a shop and village 10 mins away.
It is the perfect base to explore Cornwall, we definitely plan to stay again soon!

Beautiful cottages in the middle of a sleepy village. Completely in the middle of nowhere and leads onto an enchanting forest. Ducks and chickens roam free. Super quiet and peaceful. Wish I could stay longer.
