Absolutely fantastic place. Popped in for lunch after visiting the castle. Exquisite garden and the food was fabulous - home made fish pie was lovely and almost wish I’d had the fish and chips which was a huge piece of fish and loads of huge chunky chips, and my hubby also loved his ham, egg and chips - thick hand carved ham. SO GLAD we stopped there 💕💕💕

Very nice location, in Upnor, Rochester Kent. Great service from the staff, food was ordered and arrived about 15 mins later, best to book in advance if u want a Sunday roast like we did, great atmosphere and lots of history people's.

Went for a roast dinner and went with 3 meats. Really good portion size and decent array of vegetables. The roast beef was perfectly cooked. However, the lamb and chicken were a little overdone/dry. Service was excellent

We stopped at the Tudor Rose for dinner tonight. This is a review for the food served in the pub area.
I ordered fish and chips. One of the worst I’ve ever experienced. The fish - it came to the table looking like it had been fried twice. I was wary from the start. Very little fish inside tasteless, mostly batter. Awful.
My friend had the seabass. An altogether different meal. If you’re going to eat order the sea bass. Unless they can assure you that the fish is decent, do not touch the fish and chips. My friend complained to the waitress tonight and she was completely indifferent. I assume they don’t really care. I hope you have a better experience.

I celebrated my 21st Birthday here on Saturday and had an amazing time! I had around 30/35 guests who all had a lovely time. Specifically enjoyed the buffet and I brought a karaoke machine which was great! Would definitely recommended!
