Only visited to buy drinks, use the toilets and car park. Great location for local walks including the woods nearby.
Car park fee was £5, free if you can get into the small car park across the road.
The hotel looks lovely but we didn’t stay.

Monday night stops to break our long journey to Cornwall are rarely memorable but we were charmed by the Two Bridges. It was like travelling back in time - a proper old fashioned hotel with plenty of staff, extensive public areas and roaring fires. The decor and furnishings reflect its traditional style and are infinitely preferable to the impersonal, cookie cutter rural-chic style of so many other hotels. Our room was warm, comfortable and spotless. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent. A great place to stay in a beautiful location.

The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Lovely warm vibes and delicious food. It was my partners birthday so I treated him to a 4 course meal, bed and breakfast.
They even made him a special birthday dessert with out my request. So very thoughtful. We also had the pleasure of a pianist whilst dinning.

We recently stayed at the Two Bridges Hotel for the second time. The hotel is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. We love the old features and furnishings in the hotel; too many places have been "ultra-modernised and chromed", so whilst Two Bridges has all the comforts and mod-cons we need for a comfortable stay, it is wonderful to see it maintaining a lot of its original charm. The food in the restaurant is deliciously prepared and beautifully presented, and the wait staff very helpful. We did find the vegetarian choices to be more limited than during our previous stay, however when we queried this with the front desk, they very kindly spoke to the chef who prepared an utterly delicious butternut squash risotto for our second evening. So if you have any special requirements, don't hesitate to have a quiet word with the staff as they really do try hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Listening to live harp music the second evening whilst eating was a wonderful experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Two Bridges Hotel and I'm sure we'll be back again sometime in the not too distant future. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful stay.

An interesting, excellently located hotel (in the middle of Dartmoor). Perfect for walking and very dog friendly. We had an 'Historic' room, which was comfortable and clean but a little cramped by the window - 2 chairs in front of it left no space. The bathroom had space but no bath robes (I've been to 4 x 3* hotels in the last year and this was the first one without). The restaurant 'signature' menu was exceptionally good - crab, quail, venison, delightfully cooked and presented. The public rooms were impressive - leather sofas and log fires The staff overall were friendly and helpful, except at reception, which was a pity considering reception is the first encounter and public face of a hotel.

Lovely stay here. Room and bed was very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast and dinner was good and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit. Staff were helpful and informative. The weather was surprisingly good for February, and showed off the beautiful location.

We have stayed here many times and as always found the hotel to be warm and welcoming, with excellent food and a great team of staff, from the early morning cleaning team to the restaurant managers. |Special mention for George who looked after us on Friday night with friendliness and professionalism, and also Tom on the Friday night and Saturday morning - both were very engaging and helpful, which was much appreciated.|We enjoyed our three course meals on both nights and the Dartmoor breakfast was delicious.|Our two large hairy dogs came with us and we did struggle to clean and dry them in the terrible weather we had, but the hotel is extremely dog-friendly and so we never felt we were a problem. The welcome pack for the dogs was a nice touch.|The bar area this year was particularly warm and welcoming with the fires lit and plenty of sofa space to relax.|A fabulous choice for a walking holiday with friends!
