Tyndall Villa B&B offers more than a 5-star experience...

We had the pleasure of staying for 2 nights and could not recommend the establishment more highly. Staying in Room 10, in the older Georgian house, it was cosy and offered everything we needed.

Breakfast was a real treat, ranging from a traditional cooked Full English, through to fruits, cereals and freshly baked cookies and flapjacks (my favourite!). We are vegetarian, so chose the vegan breakfast - but the team are happy to swap the tofu for eggs, or whatever you may desire.

Talking of the service offered, it really is outstanding. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and really make the stay special. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

Tyndall Villa is ideally located for a Bath mini break, being a 10-15 minute walk from the centre (or take the bus from outside if the walk back up the hill puts you off!). It has private parking available too - another plus point in the city.

Superb value-for-money, a high-quality interior and wonderful hosts... highly recommended.

Stayed here a few weeks ago, the hotel looks nice and is in a great location. Also parking is good.

However, a few complaints:

The room was freezing. There were heating controls on the wall but after returning late from town we couldn't figure them out until the very early hours of the morning, so spent a cold night. The heating is under floor, so even once we got it working the room didn't warm up. If people are checking into a room, why not heat it for when they arrive?

The window had a blind which was not blackout. I imagine the curtains were intended to provide more shade but these were missing, but the attachments were there. This meant that having had a bad night's sleep because we were cold, we were then woken up early by the light

The toilet was not clean, it was disgusting.

When we arrived at breakfast we were immediately seated. We had ordered food ahead so expected it to arrive pretty promptly. We then had to wait for 30-40 minutes for our hot food - scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict.

Finally, I wrote to the hotel detailing these complaints but haven't received anything other than a holding response, so I guess they aren't interested in customer satisfaction.

Sorry won't be going back and wouldn't recommend.

Lovely B&B. Rooms are beautiful and very spacious, excellent bathroom. A short walk to Bath central. Breakfast is made to order and was delicious, as well as having extra contintental options. My one improvement would be if there was a coffee machine to order other coffees rather than just instant. We booked here as parking is available, it does get quite full as there is limited spaces but we were lucky. All in all would highly recommend and are looking to rebook already!

We arrived at 12, for a 2 night stay, had a warm welcome from a lovely lady, unfortunately I didn’t get her name, when we arrived, we explained we were obviously early to check in, but was it ok to leave the car, and that was no issue at all, she gave us the room door key explained how breakfast worked, WIFI, key code for the main door. We had room 1 which we loved as it felt like we had our own area as we were down a few stairs and the only room down there. The room was massive, nice touches, with a Christmas card, with a bag of locally produced Fudge which we did end on purchasing from their stall in the Christmas market as it was delicious. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. freshly made along with lots of pastries, cereals, fruit you can help yourselves too. The staff are are credit too so polite and made sure you had refills of tea/coffee if required. There is a walk down into the town centre, about 20 minutes but we did it twice on the first day and stayed out for the whole day on the second but it was fine for us. There are buses/taxis if needed. The on-site parking out weighs this as we always knew the car was safe and on site. We will definitely be returning next summer.

Excellent location with good parking, we were greeted by the owner, we presumed, in a very welcoming way and had a great feeling from the start. We stayed in room 11 in the attic, gorgeous room with a modern bathroom and the room had an amazing aroma, we don’t know where it came from but my partner loved it. She also loved the bedding and the bed was comfy. |Really nice breakfast with an extensive choice all cooked fresh as you came down from your room. All the staff were friendly and very accommodating.|Just a 10-15 minute walk into the centre, easy going down the hill but good for the calf muscles on the way back, worked off some of that breakfast though. |Thank you for a lovely stay, we will return. |Pete and Diane.

We recently stayed in Room 12 and then a week later in Room 2 and had the best sleeps! Room 2 had beautiful wallpaper and furnishings and was very spacious, overlooking Bath and an apple tree out front. Both stays, staff treated us so nicely. Vicki and Kenya were especially generous with their care and help. Absolutely sincerely caring staff! Be sure to request bathrobes in advance 😉 A beautiful inn. Location is great but may be a bit of a climb home, in which case they can recommend taxis or buses, very conveniently located just in front of the hotel.

To find somewhere to stay in Bath with parking is a real bonus! Although be aware that you cannot reserve parking but we did find a space! The rooms were lovely, although the rooms with the bath don't have a door for the bathroom so be aware of that. Breakfast included was really good & the staff were very friendly. Easy system with leaving your breakfast card the night before too. The route to the center of Bath isn't that far but it is uphill back to the B&B, but there was a service bus available & uber was around £5 from the center, easy!

Overall the experience was good but one or 2 things could make it even better. We were in Room 3. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom even though it is small was very nice. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and there are items such as juices, yoghurts, pastries laid out as well.|The coffee however was terrible, it was bad filtered coffee. There no no opportunity for an Americano, Latte etc. Even a cheap Nespresso machine would make better coffee.|Also once people in the house started having showers in the morning the water pump was very noisy in Room 3.
