Hannah and the team were excellent - Truly worth going somewhere independent as the staff actually cared about my stay - not to mention allowing me some freezer space for some food samples I had for a meeting. Rooms were spacious and clean, food was excellent. Overall superb and will be going back.

Slept very well in a downstairs twin room. Room was basic but everything very clean. We booked 2 nights direct so breakfast was included. This was outstanding and the service was brilliant. They don’t serve lunch or dinner on Mondays or Tuesdays , but were very happy for us to bring in a takeaway and enjoy their beer! Thanks for a very enjoyable, happy and relaxing stay.

Sunday lunch for a post wedding party of 20 last week was sublime! Quality and price was seriously good and the team were incredibly accommodating, even preparing and decorating a separate table for the bride and groom to cut their wedding cake. Super friendly and will most definely recommend and return. Best kept secret in the area for sure!

The Unicorn Inn is set in the beautiful village of Newton Solney. It is one of 2 pubs in the village. The interior is bright and welcoming and in keeping with the age of the building. The small bar offers a vast amount of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I tried the Cocktail of the month Pimms and Lemonade with lots of fresh fruit in it. Also the rosè prosecco which was served with a large fresh Strawberry on the side of the glass. They also keep well kept Real Ales.

We stayed for one night and the accommodation was lovely, clean with an en suite shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and some lovely biscuits. Towels and toiletries are provided and there was a hairdryer too. Lovely information pack provided which was clean and up to date and in a lovely little light brown binder which was in keeping with the room. Bed was very comfy.

Outside the pub there is lots of outdoor seating and a lovely little closed off garden area for children and a bouncy castle for children to enjoy when the weather is nice. We enjoyed sitting outside enjoying a drink after dinner admiring the beautiful hanging baskets.

We had Dinner, Breakfast and Sunday Lunch there and we could not fault any of our meals. Everything so tasty and so fresh. Portions were so good. In fact we ordered Children's Sunday Roast because we were quite full from breakfast but needed something before we set off on our journey home. We thought they had got our order wrong when we saw the size of the children's meal.

The staff were all lovely, so friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to return there again.

I spent Saturday night here with my two sisters and everything about this place from the bar to the food and the room was so perfect. Customer care is amazing, and the breakfast was great value for your money. Staff all so lovely, we will definitely be returning. Thank you all so much for a wonderful weekend.

Fantastic family pub with great food and hospitality. As a regular overnight stay for work this is a relaxing environment to return back to after a busy day.
The breakfast is top notch!
Would recommend for work or a mini break!!

we were part of a 7 guest reservation, we were met with a warm welcome and made to feel at home. the food was great on the evening, recommend the steak pie!
breakfast was equally as good, all produce from the local butcher. Hannah was a great host and if I am back in the area i will most certainly be booking

Very comfortable bed and our large room was clean and well decorated. Ideal for our one night stay and very close to Repton where we were attending a memorial service.
Dinner was simply outstanding. Every dish members of our party had ordered (10 dining) was praised. We were hugely impressed.
Service was very good and all the front of house staff were delightful.
It was excellent value.
