This was a short trip away to celebrate my birthday. Neither my husband or I had been to Ripon before so we were not sure what to expect. The welcome and check-in was really good. The staff were excellent, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with really good choices. Totally different from the normal offerings at other establishments. The evening meals were outstanding too, food presentation and value for money 10/10. We would not hesitate in recommending Valentino's to anyone. A bonus to be able to park in a busy centre too. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. We also had a meal at their sister property The Water Rat, a short stroll along the river. Equally as good food and excellent staff too. Thank you so much for a really lovely stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. Ripon is very lucky to have a place like yours!!!

Stayed here last night for a little break the room was absolutely beautiful very tastefuly decorated. Lovely walk in shower the place was immaculate. We had breakfast the next morning. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and chatty we said we wanted to go for a walk and he supplied me with map of different walks. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful we had granola and yogurt which was beautifuly presented then poached eggs on focaccia bread was cooked to perfection. We were even given warm croissants while we waited will definitely be back

Stayed here for one night for B and B, but also ate in the restaurant. |The room was clean and had plenty of space. A floor fan was provided, which was helpful due to warm weather. |The bathroom looked like it was recently fitted out and was good. Walk in shower etc, all very clean. |The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Lots of choice on the menu for the evening meal. Generous portions and really tasty food. |Breakfast was very good as well. They don’t do full English type breakfasts, but have more of an Italian theme to them. Prices were good for what was provided. |The staff were really helpful, attentive and friendly. There is a car park right next to the restaurant. |Well worth a stay.

The staff were very friendly and attentive but not gushy! Most importantly the food was delicious and plenty of it. Even just sharing the bruscheto as a starter I struggled to finish my main. My husband's pizza was huge and perfectly cooked. He was tempted by the ice-cream and again, really tasty. Shall we returning.

Fabulous food. The table had both pasta and pizza all of which were excellent. Love the fact it’s a young local lad running it. Service great. And reasonable prices. Defo will return

Fabulous stay. The room, was small, but high spec. The restaurant was full of tasty food and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend the steak, which was infused with flours which set you up for the day. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed 2 nights for a wedding in Ripon. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are bright, cheerful and friendly. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, which were both fantastic and great value. Plus, there was a guaranteed parking space for us.||Great place and highly recommended. It's the staff that really make it special.

Staff were really nice and friendly.
Garlic bread and the steak were unreal.
Pasta bolognese was really dry like it was reheated, this took the shine off our visit.
