Only 10 minutes walk from the centre. The host was very helpful and welcoming even helping me with my bag. He also showed me on the map places to visit and directions. Room was very clean and so quiet. Quite warm but a fan was provided. Facilities were very good also. Would definitely recommend and will visit again

We really enjoyed our stay at Viking Accommodations! The room was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully arranged—cozy, clean, and comfortable. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the city centre, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful. We felt very safe and welcomed throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Overall this accommodation suited our needs for the night. There could be improvements with arrival as it was a phone check in when we arrived tired, I like to be greeted by someone which is my preference. Room was clean and en suite, but the height of the room is low down in areas as we had a twin room in the attic. Bathroom door was a sliding one which didn’t feel secure and there was no lock. It was fine for the night but would require somewhere else if I was staying longer.

My sister and I met up to visit York. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly. The accommodation is about a 15 min walk from the centre of York but a really lovely walk. Would recommend if all you need is a comfortable place to stay without the frills.

We stayed here for Easter weekend. It is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. So when we came back one evening and smelt cigarette smoke, we contacted the staff member who came immediately to investigate and give two other guests who had been smoking a warning. ||Very comfortable beds and warm showers in a great location for the city centre.

Firstly I have to say how helpful, friendly and accommodating the owner was both prior to arrival and during our stay. |The rooms are clean, comfortable and are supplied with a kettle, nespresso machine and unlimited pods and milk pots. There is a fully appointed kitchen that you have free use of. The WiFi is free. |The property is set down a very quiet residential street with ample on street parking for £5 per day (free with a blue badge). It is only a 10 minute amble with an elderly dog to the city centre and all it has to offer. I would definitely stay here again

These rooms were very nice. Easy walking distance into the old town. The host met us when we arrived and was very kind and helpful. This room had a lot of nice little touches like a fan, biscuits for tea, USB ports etc.

My wife and I stayed here last night. The room and ensuite were spotless, and the man who greeted us (I think he runs the business) was very welcoming and helpful. It is also just a short walk from the city centre but out of the way enough to be quiet at night. Definitely recommend!
