My daughter and I moved to the Village Leeds North gym in January. I absolutely LOVE it here! Since the recent refurb the gym is spacious and very well - maintained and equipped. The staff are brilliant, well - informed and really friendly. I love the training plan that Luke initiated for me and the pool and sauna area is really nice too. The Leisure Club Manager Jack is a great guy, and he always goes out of his way to ensure that club members are happy and that things are running smoothly. My only (minor) criticism would be the cleanliness of the changing rooms. This is a popular gym so the changing areas get plenty of use, but they could definitely do with some more daily TLC. Other than that, one extremely happy customer! 🫶

Joined the gym today- no hard sell needed. Very well priced off-peak charge of £51 a month, if using the gym and pool a few times a week. The staff whom I met - Louis, Becca and Eden - were very friendly, welcoming and put me at my ease immediately - a delightful introduction to a hopefully fitter and healthier me.

I have been a member of The Village North gym since September 2024

I mainly joined for swimming, one of the staff members that has always made me feel welcome is Ruth.

Ruth always greets me with a smile and is always pleasant during my stay. We often exchange stories of Zanzibar and our love of the film Bohemian Rhapsody. She is such a warm and pleasant soul.

If your considering joining, just do, free car parking, if has its own Bar and Grill, onsite Starbucks and lounge area

I think the gym refurbishment has worked out great. Much bigger and easier to get onto the equipment. I am an early riser so the morning classes are a must for me. Karen from reception always greets everybody with a smile and a warm greeting - without fail. This makes it a great start to the morning.

I’ve been a member here since November - the equipment is good, sometimes it can be a little crowded depending on what time of day you go to the gym.
I received my membership card from a lovely lady called Karen who put all of my concerns about starting at the gym at ease, since then she always greets me with the warmest of welcomes and always has the brightest smile on her face! She’s always able to help in any way she can and is one of the friendliest and most approachable members of staff

Needs to open earlier on a weekend and not just through the week. Gets too busy on an afternoon early evening . It used to open at 6.30am so why is it later now ?

Also the equipment needs a good clean and why does it always smell so bad in the main gym near treadmill. Can we get some air freshener system so it gives a fragrance every 15 mins , or buy some plug in air freshness . Also the shower floor area to the pool is constantly dirty and inside the shower cubicle walls and floor, bits of hairy and stuff. It really turns my stomach. * Since this was posted the gym has been refurbished and spaces out which feels much better and not on top of each other . Looks Great. My only query is why does the pool not open at 5am which the gym is open. On the times of says 5am but it was only when I arrived this morning to be told it's 6am... Also still need to open earlier on a weekend. As s parent of 2 kids who works my time for exercising is 5am. I would love the gym to open at 5am at the weekends and move with the times

Also the fixed weights area is all squashed at the bottom. Since more treadmills and rowers have been moved about, is this a permanent thing. You can hardly walk through the equipment but yet all those treadmills and cross trainers and new equipment at the opposite end has loads of room.

Sometimes the thought of joining the gym can be a bit daunting but at Village Gym Leeds North everyone is so friendly. I have been going for several years now and I’ve made numerous friends, especially in the aqua classes. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable and Karen, who seems to be the main person on the gym reception, is always cheerful and helpful. She knows the regular Members very well and nothing seems to be too much trouble. In my case I’m Coeliac and whenever there is a brunch or meet up, she will ensure that there’s always a gluten-free option for me. This means a lot. So if you’re wondering about going to the gym and are apprehensive give Village Leeds North Gym a try, you won’t be disappointed especially as they have recently refurbished all the gym area and it is amazing.

I have been coking to the village north for almost 15 years and I love it. The atmosphere- the friends I’ve made, the classes and the staff team.
I’ve seen Ruth at the village over the last 12 years - she is such a helpful, friendly staff member, always working hard, especially paying attention to maintaining the changing room area to an exceptional standard.
All staff are friendly and helpful and I wouldn’t consider changing to any other gym! I love it here
