A close friend recommended it and I went with my wife for 1 day to try it out.
First of all I would like to thank Sarah, the staff. She was very friendly and did not charge us for trying it. I can say that she is one of the best people I have seen in England and she knows her job.
Village Gym Newcastle is a wonderful, beautiful and clean place with very comprehensive training rooms and facilities such as sprint, yoga, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, massage etc.
But the part that really bothered me was that the customers in the men's changing rooms would go naked and shower naked in front of everyone. Obviously this is not a situation associated with Village Gym, but I don't want to go again just because of this disturbing image.
Normally I would have bought a yearly Gold membership for myself and my wife. But it really bothered me that the male customers in the changing room and shower area were naked, creating a disgusting image.
Of course, this may be an English culture, I don't know, but we're not living in the Middle Ages, we're in the 21st century, I think they can behave a bit more civilised. The Village Gym has indoor showers and changing rooms, but nobody cares.
I did not see any warning signs about this.
In general, I wanted to say what I saw and experienced, the lady in charge Sarah was great, thank you again. But it was very disturbing that the customers in the men's changing rooms were both unhygienic and uncomfortably naked, sitting on the bench etc.

Very good gym. Plenty of equipment, weights etc. There is a fantastic variety of classes at various times of day. The 25m pool is all one depth so no deep end which is a definite plus for those, like me, who aren’t hugely confident in deep water. It’s also split into lanes for slower/ medium/ fast swimmers. All of the instructors I’ve met so far have been friendly and flexible around my physical ailments! The only drawback is that classes fill very quickly which I guess is testament to the gym’s popularity but can be a bit frustrating. I’ve been a member of a few gyms and this is definitely the best

Can get quite busy. Full set of machines. Swimming pool, saunas and jacuzzi are a great plus. Only downside is the high cost of membership. You just have to wait for the special deals they send out to former members

Came for a day pass visit to the Gym & Pool.
Modern & well kitted out: strength & conditioning room, gym room, burn room, spinning room, exercise class room. Liked the swimming pool, the sauna and steam rooms were Hot, jacuzzis also in swimming pool area. Burn room has the technogym storable benches.
I had a nice cup of Latte afterwards at Starbucks in Reception. The place has other facilities such as bar, grill, function rooms

Andrew led a great outdoor boot camp - hard work but so fun! He was supportive through out and cheered us all on. I have never done a class like this before but I am going to be signing up for his class every week moving forward. Brilliant instructor.

I’ve been. Member here for several years the staff are always friendly the equipment is well maintained. They are always updating areas and trying new classes.
