Arrived at 11.45 am on 4/2/25 and was told they could not do anything until 12 so I ordered 3 drinks and 3 meals .
At 12.13 nothing had happened so I went to the bar to get the drinks that nobody knew about and didn’t get the food for another 30 minutes after complaining but not getting a very understanding response .
Also the bottom of the pizza was black and burnt and I can quite honestly say I’ve never experienced that before.
Also the bottom of the comp drink glass was filthy.
I did receive a complimentary drink but the waitress didn’t know why so had to find out as I assumed it wasn’t for me .
Won’t be going there again obviously.

I’ve been a member of a quite few gyms over the years, most of them high end. However the Village hotel gym in Portsmouth is by far the friendliest I’ve found. A few of the team deserve a special mention, Amy Lyndon in sales is great and has always gone to great lengths to find the right membership deal to suit me. The guys team on the desk Elodi, Courtney, and Vicky are so personable and always seem pleased to see you. Making each visit a pleasure, and reflects my frequent use. Regarding the gym and pool. Everything is always spotlessly clean and in good working order. Calum, Guy, Scott and Demi are equally great, and the fact that we are all on first name terms speaks volumes as to the friendly relaxed atmosphere here. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Portsmouth Village Gym to anyone. Thanks

Gym is fantastic, loads of good high quality equipment. Pool is very nice and so are the showers. Sauna/steam room were also really nice. The food at the bar was mediocre, price did not reflect this as it was quite expensive for the quality of the food.

great club - don't come and spoil it by not showering before entering the pool: leaving the showers running; littering the place with your redundant water bottles; wearing your underwear in the sauna; bringing your phones into the pool area

The gym was excellent and had fantastic equipment, and the staff were very friendly especially Adrian. I would happily recommend for people to come here.

As a member at the Village Gym in Portsmouth, I have found the classes to be fun with great instructors the facilities are always clean, the staff is always very welcoming and friendly, Amy in sales is great, very helpful and knowledgeable weather its been for classes that might suit or looking for the right membership to suit needs.

I have been a member of the gym for over six years
Staff are friendly and supportive
Also, I have a personal trainer who is fanstastic, and this has increased my knowledge and confidence using all the equipment
I feel my core strength has improved, as well as my well-being
All the staff are friendly and supportive, which makes attending the gym fun to be a part of

Great gym, friendly staff, modern and up to date equipment. It's clean and has a good range of strength, cardio and a nice area for mobility/stretching. Classes are predominantly Les Mills based with their own HIIT class Burn as well. Studios are great, spacious and with nice equipment. The pool can be a bit cold at times but it's nice. As a member you also get 25% off food and drink at the bar. Not cheap but a great gym to be a member of.
