We held our Annual Dinner in the room upstairs. The room was done out beautifully. The dance floor and stage were ideal... but more importantly the staff were excellent. The booking was dealt with by Christina and on the night Tommy and Maria managed the night professionally and superbly. If your organisation is looking for a venue that holds around 110 (with room at the front for a stage and dance floor) then I cannot recommend The Village highly enough. We will be back!

The Village Hotel has good oarking and is slap-bang oppositecthe hospital.||There's a Starbucks, which looked quite big but we didn't use this.||There's a Bar n Grill with big screens for sport, which is popular. The menu seems quite extensive but what we had was not special sadly.||Unlije tge staff, who were all great.||The room is clean butcsomehow seems to miss some furniture and electronic functionality. I have stayed herectwice recently and my room on floor 3 was remarkably better than the one on the 5th floor.||The gym is very big and clean. ||The stand-out facility for me is tge pool and soa area.

The manager on duty is the only reason I have the service 2 stars, without him it would’ve been 0.

My friend and I went for dinner in the restaurant and ordered the XL chicken bucket. After about 35 minutes it turned up, but it was cold so I let the waitress behind the bar know. She agreed that they would cook us another one whilst we started the cold one which was already sent to our table. However, two minutes later one of the boys who worked behind the bar came over to our table and took the food away whilst stating “you don’t want to eat cold, horrible chicken so I’ll take this away for you” in a sarcastic tone. All very bizarre and left us a bit gobsmacked so we went to the bar, asked for a refund and then chose to eat dinner elsewhere, outside of the hotel. This was pretty annoying considering we were hungry and then had to drive somewhere else to get food before driving back to the hotel. Not to mention the rudeness of the boy behind the bar.

The hot tub was out of order which meant we did not get full use of the spa. We weren’t made aware of this until we actually went into the spa.
The bathroom in my room had mould in several spaces - with asthma this makes a noticeable difference in my ability to breathe during the night.

Really good stay at the Village. Checked in with a really nice red headed receptionist. She knew the answer to all the questions we had too. Nice room and a great lunch had the next day. Set in an ideal location for Christchurch which is lovely. Will definately return!

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Oana, the receptionist. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with warmth and genuine kindness. Oana went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering helpful recommendations and assisting with any questions I had. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor truly made a difference in my experience. Thank you, Oana, for your outstanding service!

Arrived at the hotel was greeted by a really lovely guy called Anthony immediately had a good bit of banter with him. Might feel very welcome. Went up to the room as always. We stay here regularly. The room was perfect. Went down for an evening meal. I had salmon my wife had Japanese, curry absolutely perfect noticed this time after previous visits there was a new waiter at the bar his name was Jack. He was lightning and very quick as before we used to wait for our drinks should be given a rise and made manager as he is making your place more money Anthony had such a great sense of humour and also is an asset to your establishment. Maybe so much more pleasurable with these two guys

1st visit to this hotel and village hotel chain overall. Stayed 20/7.Booked a twin room allocated room 210 a disabled twin room. Not what was booked, as not disabled. Didnt complain as it didn't overall effect my stay. The buffet breakfast was great. Loads of choice. Majority of staff were friendly apart from the reception clerk at check in. I had paid extra to check in at 1pm but was a frosty welcome, as if I was an inconvenience.
The leisure facilities was clean, tidy and not packed out. The staff member on the leisure facilities desk was great. Nothing was a problem. Explained the facilities. Got given free towels and locker key. Liked the idea of enclosed shower booths as well as open showers. I would return in the future.
