While the hotel is modern, clean and the staff are good the lack of temperature control in the rooms (even the windows are basically bolted shut) means it’s a huge fail.||||stuffy, airless and in only June like an oven. Thanks for the desk fan, but in a sealed room that’s only moving around already hot stagnant air. I really wish i’d chosen the holiday inn across the car park (hint if you need to stay here, go there….)||||on the upside the staff were lovely, the bar grill offered good quality reasonably priced food and the on site Ionity EV charger was easy to access and quick.

Myself and husband just got married here on 21/06/25. It was the most amazing day ever!||We had looked around a number of venues in Walsall and nothing was really jumping out at us. Then I remembered this hotel, as I had a few excellent work events here over previous years. ||We arranged a visit to view the Inspiration Suite and it ticked every box for us. We booked the event and had several further meetings about our wedding, plus we attended a wedding fair here with absolutely brilliant vendors.||Day of the wedding arrived and the bridal party headed to the venue for 10:30am to have hair and makeup done. We were given the Activation Suite to get ready in and this was a brilliant way to relax in the aircon and get ourselves sorted.||Off to the ceremony for 3pm and we just missed out on a torrential downpour. The staff very kindly let us borrow a couple of umbrellas due to the weather.||Once back at the hotel, myself and the groom were presented with a drink and we had group photos on the entrance steps to the hotel. We had a red carpet arrival and were announced into the event room.||The staff were brilliant on the day, especially Karen and Lauren. They ensured that any questions were answered immediately and nothing was too much trouble for them. The whole day ran incredibly smoothly, the only blip being the aircon stopping working on the hottest day of the year so far. Karen did absolutely everything she could to keep us and all of our guests as cool as possible. ||Food was brilliant and I asked for a bespoke buffet for the reception. The food went down a treat, in fact I think everything was eaten! ||We had a club room as part of our package and were pleasantly surprised by our little wedding gift waiting in the room. We had a good night's sleep with no sound heard from any of the adjoining rooms.||In the morning we had the buffet breakfast, also included in our package and this was great, especially after a long night of partying. Lots of choice, all was hot and fresh and replenished quickly. We had juice, tea, yogurt and croissants as well as the hot options of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, hash browns, baked beans, toast etc.||Overall, we are so very happy that we chose here as our venue and we had nothing but compliments from all our wedding guests. The room was beautifully decorated (thanks to the hotel for supplying the drapes and Cloud Nine Dream Events for decorating the rest of the room) and we loved every second. The staff could not have been any friendlier or more obliging and we thank them all so much, especially Karen for making our dream event a reality.||We've decided to come back every year on our anniversary to have a meal and drinks in the bar and grill and hopefully have time to use the pool and hot tub too.||Thank you so much to each and every one of you for making our special day what it was.||Gem & Dan|xxx

We had a fantastic night on Friday for a works do. The staff are just wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were able to have a laugh with them. Thank you for such a wonderful night! We always had one works do here every year - we're going to make it 2 after Friday night's success. They asked in advance for dietary requirements, which they took very seriously, which is always great to see. We had a fab time - thank you!!

I had a great stay at Village Hotel Walsall. The gym is excellent—spacious, clean, and packed with modern equipment and fitness classes. The spa area is a real highlight, with a relaxing pool, sauna, and steam room. I also had a fantastic massage that left me feeling refreshed. Rooms are modern and comfortable, and the overall vibe is stylish and welcoming. Perfect for anyone looking to combine fitness and relaxation during their stay. Highly recommend!

It seems like they are trying to catch you out with parking fines by not alerting you that it's paid parking at the entrance as you drive in. There are no obvious signs with the word Pay in clear large letters visible at a distance. I almost missed the information completely but did spot a small dull coloured sign just before leaving. They don't show any rates only the name of a poorly designed app you must go and find then register for, and try to figure out how to pay. Why do they charge for parking at an out of town hotel? Just include it in the prices. I stopped for dinner and to charge an EV. Restaurant is grubby.

From the moment we arrived, our stay was disappointing. There was no one to greet us on arrival, and we were left to figure out parking on our own. Once we got to the room, it was clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned—dusty surfaces and not enough towels provided. The room was uncomfortably hot, and we had to run the fan all night just to make it bearable.

Trying to contact staff for assistance was pointless; no one was available, and it felt like we were just left to fend for ourselves. The restaurant experience was even worse—staff were more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. When we finally did get served, the attitude made it feel like we were a burden.

The food was greasy, overpriced (£15 for something barely edible), and not worth it at all. To top it off, the tables were covered in dirty plates and we had to clean one ourselves just to sit down. We left part of our meal and drinks on the table—it was that bad.

Breakfast the next morning was no better: cold and bland with nothing memorable about it. The only positive moment of the stay came from a lovely young blonde lady working at the bar between 8:30–9am, who took the time to greet us with a warm smile and genuine friendliness.

Other than her, the experience was absolutely terrible, and I highly doubt we’ll be returning

So far so good!
My room is very spacious, clean and tidy. The Tomahawk chop in the grill was outstanding and all of the staff are really friendly and helpful.

We have our works do here every year because the location (with a huge car park, close to motorway links) are just perfect. We had a summer do on Friday night (disco through the decades) that was just wonderful. The food was great, the prices reasonable, the staff an absolute pleasure to deal with, the DJ was brill. Our team had an incredible time and we owe the Village a BIG thank you!!
