My partner and I were very pleasantly suprise just how good this place was. We had booked it for a quick one night stop over before catching the ferry to the Isle of Wight the next morning.|Lovely decor, even though part of it is new, but fits in very well with previous old building. Our ground floor room was situated in the back yard, with parking immediately outside it. Very convenient for lifting our luggage in. The bedroom although slightly on the small side was just excellent, and as for the bed, it’s huge! and extremely comfortable. I had the best nights sleep in years!.|Now down to breakfast the next morning. We were greeted with a lovely cheerful β€œ good morning”: we very much enjoyed our full English breakfast, and were very lucky to get it! As, as we we were eating it, there was a power cut!! The poor guests who came in after us, had to make do with cold food. This was not the fault of the hotel. The whole of Lymington losts it power. Not sure for how long as we had to leave. The management apologised, but it was not their fault. We will return again if needed. Thank you! all for our stay with you.

Had dinner there this evening, very impressed with both the food and the service. Wheelchair access was great, totally flat with just a small shallow ramp at the main entrance. Fully accessible toilet situated just off the restaurant.
Service very good and helpful, great food and good value for money.

Carvery was a 7/10 meat was limited and a little over done to my liking. The gravy needs to be thicker. Roast potatoes were spot on. All veg was lovely. Cauliflower cheese needed more cheese πŸ§€
Service was lovely
Would come again πŸ™‚

We had a fantastic carvery and overnight stay at Walhampton Arms on Sunday. The rooms are first class and the beds are massive. Very quiet at night and breakfast was excellent. Hosts Ryan and Hannah are very friendly as are all the staff. The hotel is dog friendly and there are local walks across the fields for that early morning duty. We were so impressed that we have booked again for end of April. Would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and restaurant.

Haven't been for a few years due to staff, so thought we would give it a try again as passing and had heard things had changed. We're greeted by a friendly young man who showed us to a table and took drinks order. Menu is now pub grub, we had the burgers which were tasty and proper beef, chips standard French fries cooked to perfection but should be as there were only 3 tables to serve which was not a lot for a bank holiday Saturday. Will be returning to try some more of the menu.

Went in for Lunch on a Monday, 4 of us we were treated to amazing meals all cooked perfectly and each one to our individual taste. We were all delighted with our main meals. We all had dessert and they were all really good and excellent value given the sizes. We would recommend this pub to eat in. We are here on holiday and will be returning this week again.

Hotel rooms are clean, contemporary and warm. The two front of house ladies were excellent - friendly and professional. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was pretty awful; rubbery chicken, potato stodge and reheated vegetables (presumably). Fish straight from the freezer and looking like it had spent far too long languishing in the oven. A depressing culinary experience to say the least. The management really need to sort out whatever is going on in the kitchen.
