I had high hopes for this coffee shop after reading positive reviews and hearing from a fellow patron who raved about their exceptional coffee. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.

The staff were inattentive and unfriendly, and I couldn’t help but feel that they weren’t managing the floor effectively. The latte art was terrible, and the flat white was not smooth at all. The coffee was strong but too acidic, which was a major letdown.

I suppose their only perks are the ample seating with charging points and wifi from the cafe

Had a meeting nearby and tried the waffle which is new on the menu. It just made my day - crunchy waffles nice and warm, aromatic nuts on top with vanilla custard and berries on top plus some jam. The waiters are all friendly with good service, despite them being very busy due to the lack of staff. Will definitely come back again.

Lovely atmosphere! We were able to sit outside and really enjoyed it. Lars made all the difference, very professional and always smiling. He made our visit truly pleasant and prepared an excellent latte and matcha for us. Absolutely delicious!

WatchHouse in Seven Dials has become a bit of a staple for us over the years. Whether it’s a catch-up with friends, a quick brunch stop, or just grabbing a coffee on the go, it nails that rare balance of feeling properly local while being part of a chain, not an easy feat these days. Ethically sourced beans, a community feel, and a space that somehow manages to be busy without ever feeling rushed.

The exterior is classic Seven Dials—smart sage green frontage, clean lines, crisp white awnings, and enough outdoor seating to make the most of a sunny London afternoon. Inside, it’s bright and minimal, with warm wood finishes, pale stone floors, and just enough detail to feel polished without being sterile. The kind of place where you could easily lose an afternoon with a laptop or a good book, an I say that from past experience.

Presentation is clearly a priority here, and they’ve got it absolutely spot on. Every drink arrives neatly on a wooden tray, steel straw in tow, with a proper variety of milk alternatives on offer. It’s a small detail, but it elevates the whole experience.

The coffee menu is extensive—iced, nitro, drip, cold brew, pour over, you name it, they’ll probably have it. One thing I love is that with every blend, you get a little tasting card with notes about the origin and flavour profile. My personal favourite? The Fernando Bocanegra Gesha from Colombia—strawberry ice cream, vanilla, blood orange. It’s ridiculous (in the best way).

Queue-wise, yes, it’s rare not to find a bit of a line snaking out the door, but they manage it well. In all my visits, I don’t think I’ve waited more than 10–15 minutes tops, which given how popular it is, is impressive.

If matcha is more your thing, you’re in safe hands too. Ceremonial grade matcha in pretty much any form you fancy—iced, lattes, or the full traditional service. Plus, it looks genuinely beautiful when it arrives at your table.

And don’t even get me started on the pastries. Standard croissants and almond croissants sit alongside some absolute scene-stealers like the hazelnut praline pain au chocolat. But the real knockout? The matcha and coconut financier. Trust me—you’ll be thinking about it for days afterwards.

WatchHouse Seven Dials gets it right across the board. It’s stylish without being pretentious, the coffee’s next level, and whether you’re popping in for a quick caffeine hit or settling in for a lazy brunch, it always delivers. Long may it reign.

Had a wonderful experience this morning. It was a little busy but the staff went out of their way to re-arrange tables to make some space for me. I then enjoyed a delicious decaf coffee and their overnights oats. Great way to kick-start my kid/morning 😊

We enjoyed a nice and calm breakfast here. Plenty of options and for drinks they have alternative milk options. We sat in the basement where there were plenty of spots available. The staff is very friendly. With the drinks we ordered we got some cards with info on the coffee/matcha, they were a nice addition 🙂
