After a long stroll to Sykes lane came back for a bite, it was 3pm so no sandwich/lunch was available. Had cuppa tea and cakes.
Minimal selection of cakes.
Make sure to be there earlier of you want lunch.

The place is very nice and a view to the lake is superb. The staff is kind. Prices are extremely high as if it was a posh restaurant with fancy meals which it definitelly is not. £13.95 for a burger with chips, £7.69 for a sandwich is a gross exaggeration.

We came here for a hot drink and a lunchtime snack. The cappuccino were good and reasonably priced, but the sandwich, although nicely presented (with dressed salad garnish) was expensive for what was served.
The staff were pleasant and friendly. The choice of drinks (including alcoholic) was good and the menu included a good selection of dishes ranging from snacks to more substantial meals. The range of cakes and baked items was good and they all looked tasty. Food is cooked and prepared to order so you may have to wait a bit depending on what has been ordered before you.
The view over the moorings and reservoir is nice and there are plenty of tables indoors and out.
The toilets (unisex with wash basins and hand dryers in the cubicles) had plenty of toilet paper and soap, but could do with a proper clean as the floors and walls were very grubby.
We will return next time we're in the area.

Pleasant atmosphere. Mix of very indoors, picture windows and covered outdoor benches. Views of Rutland water and the little harbour are excellent. Service is at the speed of drinks, which you sit down with. Food is quite slow, but tasty. It is definitely on the expensive end.

Ordered 2No deals of the day - toasted tea cake and latte plus cappuccino. Did not think it possible for a toasted tea cake to be this bad it was like eating cardboard and just couldn’t finish the coffee. The staff were really nice and the venue idyllic just the food that disappointed.
