Perfect location with the most amazing and relaxing countryside views. Loved watching & hearing the sheep outside. Beautiful room with huge en suite. All spotlessly clean & faultlessly decorated with everything provided that you may need. Our host was warm, friendly and very polite. Breakfast was delicious too. Would definitely recommend to all.

My husband very thoughtfully booked us a night away to Dymchurch to rest and recharge this weekend. We specifically looked for a dog friendly place as our very well behaved dog would be joining us (this we confirmed by phone and paid a supplement for). |The area was stunning and the local restaurants were so friendly and welcoming to the 3 of us. |The room itself was a small double, with a little en suite shower room. Other than a surprising item in one of the drawers (part used syringe of lubricating Catheter gel), the room was clean and had a lovely view of the canal and sheep fields. |All was well, with us planning return trips, until we were denied entry to the breakfast room, due to having our dog with us (IN A ‘DOG FRIENDLY B&B?!?!). We were offered no other area to have our meal and denied being able to take it back to our room. Disgustingly it was suggested that our dog be left in the car while we eat or my husband and I eat separately in shifts. The situation was probably not helped by there being another couple in the dining area who did not like dogs but why would you book to stay in a dog friendly place if you are scared of them?! |To advertise as dog friendly but expect them to be restricted to a bedroom is utterly ridiculous and should definitely be clearly stated on the website. |I was so upset that we packed up and fled to a gorgeous place called The coffee Lounge, who welcomed us all with open arms and lots of puppy cuddles. |Shame on you Waterside Guesthouse.

This B&B has multiple rooms. Ours was a room at the back of the property with great views.|The beach is very close so we enjoyed walking along the concrete path along the sea.||Towns with pubs which sell proper food are nearby.|Nearby town Hythe is beautiful and a must visit.||The B&B lies 30 minutes drive from Eurotunnel Folkstone.|Debra, the owner, does all she can to make the customer feel welcome.|Breakfast is complete with a promising menu written on the blackboard in the breakfast room.

Very enjoyable stay. The room has everything we needed, very comfortable and clean. Beautiful views of the fields. Breakfast was perfect. Short walk to the beach.

If you are looking for a branded, 24/7 travel lodge style motel with a night porter and a gym this is probably not for you, however if you are looking for a traditional independent English guesthouse, the Waterside is a exactly that. The location is great for those who want to take a walk along the Dymchurch promenade, and parking is available onsite. The greeting upon arrival was friendly (not over bearing) and we were shown to our room. The room was in line with the price we paid with a lovely view over the neighbouring field. The bathroom was small but it had everything needed for our stay with ample tea/coffee etc.
For an independently owned and managed guest house, the breakfast selection is fantastic, and it is freshly made to order by the owner.
I take my hat of to the owner, who opens up her home, and welcomes guests daily, and in my case, the dog too.
I would definitely stay again.

Overall, A good example of a traditional B&B.

The room is comfortable and basic toiletries were in my room. Breakfast was very nice and quick to come to the table. The reason it being only 4 stars is in the walkthrough to the dining area, there is a fish tank in complete neglect. With fish in there also. Maybe a 100 litre tank which is 80% empty with no light no plants. Was such a shame to see as the owners seem to be very nice people. If this can be sorted then there is absolutely no fault.

Sofa bed was so hard that I slept on the floor, I am 56 and should not need to do this at my age. My 8 year old niece sat in the swing seat and the whole thing fell into the canal with her in it. It was very lucky that she was not injured on the rocks and did not get any cuts on the rocks on the slope and knew how to swim. The attitude of the owner was atrocious and blamed my niece for pushing in the heavy swing seat, also shouted at my sister and denied the sofa bed was hard, She also suggested that we should have waded into the canal to retrieve the seat. We packed up and left the same night to stay somewhere else. This ruined our stay, we all still get upset when thinking about this. This was the worst holiday ever.

We have been in 8 different accomodations in England this month, and I'm sorry to say that our stay at the Waterside Inn was under average. Overall we give this accomadation a 6 out of 10. Must say the location is great, being half an hours drive to/from Dover.
