We had a really lovely weekend on the spa package (2 treatments and breakfast and dinner included). The hotel and room weren't anything fancy but all very lovely and spacious. The spa was great value, the pool could be updated but I think it is more than enough for the price we paid. Treatments were wonderful and I would highly recommend.

We had food once in the spa café and it was fine - nothing special and maybe a little overpriced.

The only downside was the restaurant, dinners were super basic (like freezer meals) and incredibly overpriced. The breakfast was awful - not enough for everyone in the buffet. I got one sausage and a handful of mushrooms and waited 20 minutes for more food - one hash brown - before we gave up waiting and left. The milk was also slightly off as it was not in a refrigerated jug. The tables were not being cleared, and when they were they were not being reset with cutlery, mugs etc.

The meal plan is a £30 meal allowance (excluding drinks) and £17.50 breakfast per person and this price was definitely not reflected. However staff were all lovely and polite and service was good.

Overall, it was a lovely weekend but I would recommend going elsewhere. The New Inn pub is a 20 minute walk and had lovely food and atmosphere.

We booked to come to the spa for my sisters hen do and all had a fabulous afternoon and I couldn't recommend more. Every member of staff that we came across were so friendly and helpful. Especially Cat, who couldn't have been any more accommodating to our group. She was amazing. All of us were very happy with our treatments, and have all come away completely refreshed and relaxed. Often when you have a spa day, massages are very gentle, but everyone of us that asked for a bit of pressure, certainly got that. The setting is absolutely stunning. And you couldn't ask for me. There was a wedding going in while we were there, which did feel a bit strange at times to be around in the hot tubs while wedding guests are enjoying the garden space, but certainly not terrible. It wouldn't put me off booking to come again. I'd absolutely return, and so would all the girls in our group and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. You won't be disappointed. Oh and the afternoon tea we had was also delicious, catering to dietary requirements with no problem either. Thank you for a fabulous time.

So the hotel is lovely as you approach but on entry it is dated and begging to be updated.
The staff are very polite but inexperienced and do not attend to your needs as they should, bearing in mind it is not busy.
The food is definitely the low point and unfortunately after changing the menu it is worse, very poor choice of food on offer and the quality does not match the hotel.
I do not like leaving negative comments but I hope the hotel takes these as constructive suggestions for improvement.

the beds are like clouds honestly!! it’s comfier than my own. i recommend this place to anybody!! the beds are so luxurious and the breakfast is amazing. fruit , english breakfast (hot food) and fruit and cereal!! this is the best hotel i’ve been too ! although the stay wasn’t long , it’s been an amazing experience here. |i fell asleep straight away! the pillows are so soft your head sinks in to them!! this is one of the best hotels. the staff are nice too! we got nicely greeted by a lady when we came , and she was very welcoming!! and the breakfast isn’t loud at all, it’s actually quite silent ! it’s a very calming setting , and it’s a small breakfast room too, so no stressful noise for people who prefer that like my party. the room for the 3 of us was actually quite massive! 2 double beds , many chairs , a nice view , and a spacious bathroom including all you need. i hope this recommendation recieves you more clients!!

Just returned from a lovely two-night stay and feel like we experienced everything the hotel has to offer: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, spa treatments, and full use of the facilities.

The staff were outstanding, genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. Special mention to the lovely girl at dinner and breakfast (with the Disney lanyard and decorated car) who made us feel so welcome.

The spa was peaceful, spotless and well looked after, and the outdoor hot tubs overlooking the lake were a real highlight.

Food was tasty and enjoyable, although breakfast after 9am was a bit chaotic with low stock and slow table clearing. Arriving earlier the next day made all the difference.

Our room was brilliant, with its own little garden access, and the whole stay felt clean, relaxed and welcoming.

Highly recommend for a peaceful, pampering break in a beautiful location.

Hotel is in a beautiful setting. I visited for a spa day and afternoon tea.
The changing rooms (cold) and pool could have been warmer. Hot tubs and sauna where good.(we defrosted in there)
The afternoon tea was more of a bun fight. More staff need to be employed at
busy times, the staff we had where amazing but run off thier feet and coped as best they could. We where served a
complementary cup of tea as we waited an hour to be served our afternoon tea
and sat at an uncleared table.
Didn't really have the atmosphere of a high star hotel...... Could do much better.

Thankyou for replying to me I look forward to seeing and experiencing the improvements as I am visiting again tomorrow. Will let you know...

Visited today 27th March, Thankyou for a lovely day celebrating my friends birthday. After a mix up with my booking it was soon sorted. The pool was warm, We had prosecco in the hot tub outside, finished off with a delightful afternoon tea. Well worth a second visit.
I can see the improvements made, well done.

I spent the morning at the spa with afternoon tea a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely fantastic. I went for a solo, relaxing, and recharging morning, and it exceeded my expectations. I received a brilliant attention, including a warm and helpful welcome from Sam and the lovely and amazing Cat. It was a wonderful experience. Cat was so lovely with me; her approach, her constant smile, and her willingness to help were incredible. I would like to give her a big thank you for making me feel so comfortable and relaxed during that time. Definitely, I'll be back

We came for a spa day and from the moment we arrived we were impressed by the beautiful setting — surrounded by stunning scenery that immediately made us feel relaxed and at ease — It was the ideal escape from the everyday hustle.

What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Every single member of the team was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect, shout out to Kat imparticular who looked after us - very attentive, friendly and professional. Thank you, we will be back.
