I found Wayland's Yard through a Google search for great pancakes nearby, and I was impressed!
Though, I had better waffles at Chancer's Cafe, and I can’t wait to go back.
The portions at Wayland's are generous, quite filling and the pancakes were soft and flavorful. The bacon was perfectly cooked and juicy, while the beans took me back to my childhood Saturday mornings. ?

We each tried two drinks, and I particularly enjoyed the warm apple chai. It had a nice tang and cinnamon kick, though I’d prefer it served a bit hotter.

The ginger tea was also very refreshing. ☕
Overall, I'm thrilled to find a place that serves fluffy pancakes along with sustainable tea and coffee. I'll definitely be going back to try some more food from the menu. I recommend!

Oh! They're pet friendly too, the customer on the table next to ours had a guide dog. ?♿

Lovely venue, we arrived Saturday morning at 9:30 and it was quite empty. Filled up a bit as we ate. We had Turkish eggs and coffee. Very good value although not a huge meal. Staff were great. Overall, strongly recommend for breakfast.

Great food for a great price, the staff are always very fun and approachable. It's a perfect place to go for breakfast to either hang out with friends, go on a date or go to get some work done.

This place has now become one of my go to spots for breakfast while I'm in Birmingham.

Would highly recommend visiting if you haven't already

Incredibly relaxing and atmospheric space serving a variety of amazing and ethically sourced coffees, teas and other drinks.

Orders can be made and paid for using the QR code on each table. This is actually a great way of ordering in my opinion because when you scan the QR code you can see a visual menu, so you can actually see photos of each menu item.

We opted for Yard Fry Up for £12.50 each and have no complaints whatsoever. The food was deliciously seasoned and flavourful, as well as being nicely presented (unfortunately it was too famished and didn’t snap a picture).

Delicious and good quality ingredients, cooked well and served by friendly staff. We did struggle for room on our table and found ourselves wondering why we were seated on a smaller table when other larger ones were available. Excellent coffee roast. I can't wait to go back to try the Turkish eggs and homemade cakes. Handy location right opposite the metro stop at Bull st.

Popped here with 2 mates for some brunch before an all day ale session. Had the weirdest interaction with one of the younger staff here. After I had ordered, I advised I was moving to a larger 4 seater table to accommodate the 2 burly lads that were arriving to meet me. Was then told they would prefer if I didn't move as they wanted to keep the bigger tables for large groups that come in. Looked around to see a 25% capacity café... Then asked if the larger tables were reserved or something. She said no. Looked at each other like there was a glitch in the matrix and we just went and sat at the larger table anyway after ordering £50 worth of food. Once the food arrived, all was good. We had avocado toast, chicken teriyaki flatbread and a fruity seedy yogurt bowl along with an assortment of coffees. Considering where it's situated, quite a nice little café.
