So, word of warning “snowflakes” dont come here!!! You wont like your feelings getting hurt!! This lady is clearly eccentric! Thats why her food tastes so good. A group of four of us turned up and ate inside. Four hot bacon cobbs! Delicious! Whilst eating we enjoyed an entertaining show of customers daring to step inside and help themselves to the proprietor's vast array of food. As they did, the owner would snap their hands off asking what they thought they were doing….. i mean, i wouldnt come in your home and help myself ;). However once they had paid their dues and handed currency over via the “magic window” they were then lucky enough to leave and enjoy their goodies. I mean come on. Its not that bad. But it is funny. Have a sense of humour and just take people with a pinch of salt! Bet you wouldn't have bothered with a positive review!!!!

The shop itself is so lovely and rustic. Really cute.

However, the pastries were of very poor quality, no pastry flakes. They were stale. Similar to shop bought ones that you leave out for days.
Hot drinks were of same quality, just hot water and sachets. No barista coffee or milky hot chocolates yet they charge similar prices.

Such a shame. Could be absolutely amazing in there with such a gorgeous space. We left feeling very disappointed. No pride in what they serve.

I bought a piece of cake from here during summer and the place looks fancy enough with a rustique finish. It was good cake and a large portion.

I was a little startled by the service but after reading others reviews, I agree that people need to be themselves as everyone has good and bad days.

I gave the service a 2* still though because while I was packing my things, the lady serving went outside and fed my dog some cured Italian ham without asking. I just thought this was rude and potentially harmful to do. Max was OK after the ham but had a wee dodgy tummy!

Probably won't be back

The one time I didn't check reviews first and let my tummy make a decision....picked up a scone, very dry. It's huge so throwing it away will save some calories at least.
Very odd little place, everything looks great, but now I'm wary to try anything else with such a poor scone

Great food, but rude staff that sour the atmosphere and make it an unpleasant place to eat. They almost rage cried when I said ‘Bacon Sandwich’ instead ‘Bacon Cobb’, pathetic.
It was a very nice sandwich/cobb to be fair though.

The most amazing bakery on the island!
The bread and cakes on display were simply mouth watering.
The lady was genuine and very kind in her own way, she teated us nicely and joked with us.
Of course the cakes were the most remarkable thing! We ordered carrot cake and short bread and despite the huge portions, we could have eaten a second round!
Highly recommended!

I bought a Josephine bun, completely raw inside. Not just a bit raw but so soggy the bag disintegrated. Unedible. We'd driven off so couldnt return it. How can a bakery sell raw buns?

I don't recognise some of the low ratings because we found the shop to be welcoming and the portions to be great. We purchased rolls and coffee; and ate them outside the front of the store. We also purchased cake but were too full to eat it. Whilst eating, the cinnamon wafted outside. If you are in Cowes and fancy a bread product, give this place a go.
