Arriving at the end of what had been a very long day to a genuinely warm welcome and a spotlessly clean and comfortable room was bliss! A lovely couple, rightly proud of what they have made of West Loch House, who made me feel right at home. Unfortunately I had to leave too early for breakfast - I will plan better next time!

Arriving at the end of what had been a very long day to a genuinely warm welcome to an immaculately clean and comfortable house was bliss. Attention to detail is evident throughout, making for a cosy and relaxing space to unwind in. I had to leave before breakfast - this time! I'll make better plans for my next visit. Highly recommended.

We only stayed one night en route to early morning ferry to Islay, but Bruce & Sheila clearly take the hospitality business very seriously. Not a single aspect is overlooked, and 5* is the least they deserve.

Lovely unexpected overnight stay coming off the boat at Kennacraig. Room was warm, comfortable and clean. The owners were lovely and friendly and even offered de-icer for the car in the morning😄❄️||We didn’t have breakfast or a dinner, but the dining room looked cosy as well.

We spoke to the propriertors Bruce and Sheila by telephone on the 27th February for staying with them on 4th May and 9th May which was confimed by email the same day. We then received a receipt confirmation on 28th April that our monery had now been taken. Absolutely perfect and smooth friendly service.||We arrived on Sunday 4th May and we were welcomed by both Bruce and Sheila the proprietors. BRuce carried our luggage from the car to our room. Sheila advised us immediately of places to eat in Tarbert as it was best to reserve a table. Sensible advice which proved to be essential.||West Loch House smelt fresh and was clean and well maintained throughout with easy parking outside with views over the Loch. A new bespoke stair handrail had been made on all stair levels which was a valubale addition for access.||The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, warm, being well appointed and decorated. We had a great night's sleep and arrived to a very warm welcome from Sheila and Bruce for a heart Scottish Breakfast. They both had a good social chat with us without being imposing, perfect hosts.||We then left (Bruce carried our luggage from the room to our car) to catch the ferry to Islay and returned on 9th May to be welcomed back like long standing friends. This time we had a different and larger room which had been recently re-decorated along with a new shower room suite. Again Bruce insisted on taking our luggage to our room,||We jad a very enjoable meal in Tarbert at one of the places recommended by Bruce and Sheila returning to our roomfor a very restful evening. Waking the next morning it was a glorious day and the light was reflecting on the Loch wich gave a mirror image of the surrounding hills/trees that no photograph could do justice to. We were treated to this from our bedroom window!!||The breakfast and company were superb as before and we were well looked after, we felt valued.||Sdaly we had to leave with regrest that morning.||I would recommend West Loch House to everyone, a great palce, great views great owners.

An outstanding guest house, tastefully and thoughtfully refurbished, located by a lovely loch close to ferries to Islay and Arran. We had a spacious, most comfortable room with an excellent roomy shower. Our breakfast was top notch, perfectly cooked. The Stornaway Black Pudding was much appreciated!

This was a very clean and comfortable guest house, near Tarbert and ferry terminals, and with beautiful views of the loch. Service and food were excellent, with nothing too much trouble. Great advice was given by the owners on good places to eat in the evening and catching a local bus. (There was an unmarked request stop in front of the House for the Glasgow-Campbeltown service, which took us to the Gigha ferry in Tayinloan). An excellent place to stay on the way to an island or as a base to explore the region.
