Firstly, the hotel we booked is called "INNIT Bliss" on Hotels.com yet when we arrived it appears the hotel is actually called "Westbourne Hotel & Spa Brighton" (perhaps because of the terrible tripadvisor.com reviews...

We came on bonfire night after watching the amazing bonfire event at Lewes. This hotel seemed convenient and at £60 for the night seemed quite reasonable, considering the great Brighton location and novel room. However, when we arrived we were saddened to find a number of things:

Bathroom:
1) Hairs in sink and bathroom counter
2) Dirty toilet seat which we had to clean
3) Just terrible finish, exposed piping

Bedroom:
1) Intense smell of damp. Had to open the window.
2) Dirty/ Stained TV remote
3) Hairs in bed
4) Wifi weak and disconnects regularly

We did appreciate how comfortable the bed was and also how nice it was to have a Bath Tub in the room. Nice size Roku TV too. The cleanliness was the big fail and also lack of parking availability.

Avoid.

On the whole this is a lovely little guest house in a quieter area of Brighton, not far from the seafront. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, hospitality tray well stocked.|A little bit chilly on arrival but then it was mid winter and warned up once I'd worked out the radiator.|I struggled to keep the shower at a warm (not freezing or scalding) which is something I judge a hotel on.|I didn't try the spa facilities during my stay.

Good location but rooms are not great. Uncomfortable bed for starters and the shower is really bad and doesn’t really work.. no pressure which is needed for a power shower! Minimal complimentary shower gel etc. Very noisy location with a random drunk man shouting outside the back of the hotel and a very annoying dripping outside the window which is barely sound proofed. |2 rating as the hotel was clean, staff friendly and good location but definitely won’t be back when we next visit my daughter at Uni.

This was really good, the room, which had a single and a double was perfect for us because I had just come out of hospital and I needed to rest alone. My partner had the single and that suited her too - avoiding my tossing and turning! - but it was a lovely place and it was clean and tidy and in a great location. It was Pride weekend and we saw a good bit of the spectacle - although we didn't go there for that weekend but we ate and drank and name merry and enjoyed the sun and that was great. The staff were great and we were lucky with parking (they will sell you a 24 hrs permit). All in all a good place although it is not a b&b in the strictest terms because there is no breakfast - but that didn't bother us and we will go again!

The room was smaller than it seemed in the pictures online, but that didn't bother me as the bed and mattress were really comfy. Netflix and Amazon Prime for entertainment. The wallpaper and furniture looked elegant. However the footstool was broken and so was the toilet seat. My favourite bit was the shower. It was spacious and easy to use technology. Could adjust the temperature of the water as per our desires. The fresh towels, shampoo and shower gel as well as coffee kettle was welcome. There wasn't any water provided. We weren't disturbed by any noises from outside but the blinds wouldn't shut well. Overall it was a little more than okay experience and we just might give the place another chance.

Lovely accommodation, however I do have to give an honest review. We arrived got checked in to the hotel, the room we got assigned was a nice size, however the shower pressure in the room was not very good at all and the shower head was broken, the room we were situated in was also directly behind the reception area in which we felt there wasn’t much privacy as we could hear every person that was being checked in which means any conversations me and my partner had meant that they could hear us talking as well. I spoke to the woman at reception to ask if we could be moved to a different room, she states that they were fully booked that night, we got woken up at around 8:30am as there was a customer asking something to the receptionist and it was all very loud. I then found another staff member who gave me a number to call as we didn’t think it was acceptable for us to stay in that room. The guy on the other end of the phone was lovely, I explained the situation and he got us moved to a different room straight away, the room was much bigger and nicer, after that our stay was okay, we did hear quite loud music being played from one of the rooms really late at night however there was no one we could talk to as there was no receptionist at the reception. Overall our stay was okay, the first room we stayed in I don’t think should be a room, it could be used either as a bigger reception area or a cloakroom/ bag room.

If you don't have a car it's quite a walk to the town centre or anywhere for breakfast. Room was clean and a comfortable bed but no double glazing so quite a big draft no curtains just blinds. Not a very good wifi connection either so even the tv didn't work properly. In the shower there was one mini shampoo for two people for two nights. The kettle had a lot of limescale and the mirror table it stood on was cracked. The ladies who work as receptionists were very nice.

Pros
*Great beach view from hotel balcony
*TV screen is big and had uninterrupted access to prime, netflix,BBC iPlayer
*Iron, hairdryer, air purifier and fan is provided
Cons
*No lift, as our room was in 2nd floor and it was tedious to take luggage
*Toilet not very clean
* Shower is very small and a tall person cannot shower well in it
*Bed is not comfortable for an adult
*Kettle is not clean and I think it's not used for ages.
*No restaurant in the hotel stay so for breakfast you need to go out or order

Suggestions:Room and toilet can be a bit cleaner. Loved the stay and experience as I enjoyed the view from balcony.
