Lovely breakfast and friendly hosts.||However we did find the Garden Room Accommodation rather gloomy and needing to have the lights on. If the side window had not been screened with an immovable blind (there was a frosted glass pane behind) then the room could have been much lighter.||Lots of cushions and brocade furnishings is not to my personal taste but it was comfortable and clean, with nice touches like fresh milk for tea.||Would hesitate about returning because of the depressing room - little natural light.||Bonus - the local pub serves excellent food and we ate here in the evening.

Westfield is a family run B and B. We were greeted by Yvonne on our arrival and shown to our en suite bedroom. It was a spacious room with an amazingly comfortable double bed. The room was split level with the lower level serving as a mini lounge, equipped with a 2 seater sofa, tv, fridge and wardrobe. ||The ensuite was equipped with a large power shower cubicle with abundant hot water and complimentary toiletries.||Yvonne requests that an order slip is filled to ensure that she cooks your breakfast exactly to your requirements. Her breakfasts are fantastic with many options to choose from. ||She has a good knowledge of local attractions and places to visit.||Westfield B and B is in a lovely peaceful village location and provides off street parking. Traffic noise is virtually non existent. ||We had a marvellous visit, Yvonne was the perfect host. If you do stay I recommend that you read Yvonne's framed (tongue in cheek )all encompassing job description it is very amusing but actually true!

We very much enjoyed our short stay in the centre of the lovely village of Newbrough at Westfield B&B, excellently situated for visits to Hadrian's Wall. The breakfast room, our ensuite double room and its shower were all lovely and spacious, and the bed was enormous - super-king or queen sized and very comfortable. With delicious cooked breakfasts and fresh milk in our own mini-fridge, and the very nice Red Lion pub over the road for local real ale and evening meals (meals available every evening but Sundays and Mondays) we ate and drank very well too. A slight chill in the air one evening before the heating came on was soon dispelled with the plug-in heater in our room. We had our own entrance and parking space and Yvonne and Bob were very friendly and welcoming hosts. We would happily have stayed longer and would like to return one day.

Only spent one night here but could have stayed longer. Lovely comfortable room, great night's sleep in a king sized bed, mini fridge with fresh milk, water and biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities and TV. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing, cooked by Yvonne and served by Bob - excellent hosts. Can't think of a single negative and can't recommend too highly.

This was our favorite stop on the wall. Yvonne and Bob were fantastic hosts, they picked us up and showed us in, booked a table at the local pub. The rooms were fancy and clean. The breakfast was AMAZING. Yvonne even catered for my gluten free vegan diet at the last minute. At our next b&b my sister exclaimed "I miss yvonne's breakfast" enough said.

We stayed overnight at the Westfield on a trip to Hadrians Wall. The family room is a good size with a seating area and en suite shower room. There is off road parking and separate access so you do not need to go through the owners house. The room is spotless and well heated.||Yvonne was very helpful and reserved a table for us at the pub across the road (The Red Lion - very good food). There is a range of options for breakfast and we went fot the full English which was excellent. Would recommend if travelling along or visiting Hadrians Wall.

One of our favourite stops whilst walking the wall. Yvonne and Bob were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was AMAZING and yvonne catered for my gluten free vegan diet at short notice and it was delicious. My sister, when having breakfast at out next b&b exclaimed "I miss yvonne". Enough said 😉

What a fabulous place. Clean, warm, fabulously appointed and a cracking good breakfast. You can not beat a superb shower either. Very flexible and welcoming hosts with great local knowledge. Very handy for Hadrians wall and the other beautiful sights in the valleys around. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended. Great value.
