My Mum and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had a twin room in a building which just contained two rooms and a shared lounge/dining/kitchen space.|Bedroom: twin beds which were comfortable. Plenty of storage for clothes, plus a dressing table.|Bathroom: recently refurbished and high spec. Large rainfall shower.|Lounge/dining/kitchen: this is what really makes the property stand out above others. Very spacious, and exceptionally well equipped, including a Krups coffee machine. Everything you need to make your own continental breakfast. We really enjoyed this. (But if you like having a cooked breakfast made for you, this isn't the place for you.)|Location: it's in the middle of nowhere but easy to access Melksham and the surrounding area. Very peaceful and quiet at night. We slept really well. |Hosts: Lorraine met me and was very friendly and helpful, but most of the rest of the time we saw Paul. He's a superb host. Really friendly. I'd asked if they had any decaff coffee pods for the coffee machine (not expecting them to necessarily be , but thought I'd ask) , and the next morning they'd got some for me which was very kind of them. Nothing is too much trouble here. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed as a family for 4 nights in August 2020, and we could not have chosen a better place for our stay. I only have words of praise for the accommodation, the comfort, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the owners (thank you Paul and Lorraine). The location is ideal for Lacock, Bath, Longleat, Cirencester, and a multitude of other interesting and picturesque destinations within easy driving distance. The outdoor swimming pool is heated and it may be covered when not in use, or on a rainy day - to keep it clean and warm, but it is quickly uncovered by Paul on request. The rooms are extremely clean, simply furnished with lovely modern oak furniture, the large beds (either superkings or large singles) all have comfortable (and expensive) mattresses and good quality bedding and towels. We are not a family who would normally book rooms in a bed and breakfast, mostly due to the fact that we are exigent and we hope for a certain high standard of accommodation which seems to be easier to achieve when booking a hotel of certain star ratings. However, this year we decided to try something more isolated due to Covid concerns. I cannot emphasise enough how much better this accommodation was than some 4 star hotels we have used in the past, which cost double and offer poorer value for money. I am sorry we did not book a longer stay and hope that we will return soon to Whaddon Grove House. We stayed in the Annexe, which worked very well for us as a family, having 2 ensuite bedrooms and a kitchen-lounge, all for our use. On the second day of our stay, in his true helpful and thoughtful style Paul assembled an outdoor table and 4 chairs for the use of the Annexe only, which he placed on the little outdoor patio outside the entrance to the Annexe, so that we could have our coffee there in the morning, without having to come to the common gazebo area, which is an outdoor covered space for the use of all the guests. We had an amazing 4 nights in this property, and we give it maximum rating with the warm recommendation that anyone wishing to explore Wiltshire should consider booking ANY room at Whaddon Manor House. We had a chance before leaving to have a look at the rooms in the main building, too, and they are all absolutely beautiful and of the same high standard as the Annexe. Thank you Paul and Lorraine for an amazing stay at Whaddon Grove House!

Beautiful house. Stunning location. 10 of us stayed here for the weekend for a competition in Bath. Communal kitchen, living/dining room. Bedrooms extremely spacious as were the en-suite bathrooms (spa bath!!), tv and tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Plenty of room for all of us. Very clean and everything to a high standard. Continental breakfast included. Definitely recommend. No photos unfortunatelyx

Arrived at Whaddon House after making an error with booked accommodation in Bradford on Avon. The receptionist went online and Whaddon House was the first available place with a room for one night.||The B&B is accessed at the very end of Berryfield Lane with a sign saying Farm Entrance (the Waddon Grove House sign was obscured by a large vehicle) Go on to this lane and turn off for Whaddon Grove furher on.||We had a superb room in the new annexe with huge bed which was very comfortable, bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower room with both rain forest style and normal shower. Much appreciated was the motion sensor which came on when getting up in the night and providing light to the bathroom!||Breakfast is self service continental style with with Nespresso coffee if required. I don't think Paul and Lorraine provide a cooked breakfast so those wanting Porridge,or fryup may be disappointed. It didn't bother us though.||Everywhere is exceptionally clean and there is absolutely no traffic noise so a perfect nights sleep is to be anticipated.||Highly recommended for a short break with great hosts.

Fantastic place. Lovely hosts, great rooms, loads of breakfast options and a nice warm pool. Very willing to accommodate different dietary requirements and worked with us on check in times so we could get to another appointment. Also, very friendly cats and dogs. Highly recommend.

...because when we discovered a flat battery on departure, Paul helped us out & got our party back on the road! In addition, Whaddon Grove is a very laid-back & relaxing B&B, blissfully quiet set amidst the fields. We were traveling as a family group, so Paul thoughtfully arranged for us to share a kitchen & lounge area. This was great for the evenings & for the self-serve continental breakfasts, as we were effectively self-contained. We had a brief dip in the pool when there was a break in the weather, but the highlight for us was the jacuzzi bath in the spotless bathroom.

Stayed for 1 night in luxury room with balcony jacuzzi. Wow it was great!. Me and the misses spent the evening in the hot tub with a great view of fields and clear night sky sipping wine. Very friendly sisters who ran the place and the breakfast was amazing. Was recommended by friend and glad we went.

The place was spotless, very clean and very well presented, we were greeted by the door, showed around and our every need was catered to! Absolutely amazing place, by far my favouri place to stay! And it was very well signposted, nice n easy to find!! 🙂 will definitely be coming back very soon indeed..!!
