Lovely slightly alternative option for any one staying in the ribble valley.
We were over for a posh dinner near by and it was a great place to stay. The old Abbey buildings converted into a manor house and now a peaceful Christian retreat that general visitors can also stay in.
Beautiful tutdor manor house style interior.
Spacious conformable modern room.
Lovely to wander the grounds at dusk.
Extremely atmospheric.
Nice little breakfast in the stone clad refectory.

Whalley Abbey is a special place, if you are thinking of going you will know why. A visit will not bring you entertainment or vacuous bucket list statements and social media posts.
