I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and secluded location! The scenery was absolutely stunning, surrounded by horses and sheep which added a peaceful countryside charm. I stayed in one of the pods, which were cozy and came with their own heating – perfect for a comfortable night’s sleep. The shared bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the BBQ area was a great spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There’s also a pub on the property that serves delicious food, making it convenient and enjoyable without having to travel far. Highly recommended for a tranquil getaway!

Atop the moor where lambs do leap,|We found a feast, not food for sheep.|The Wheal Tor Inn our hearts did sing,|A hidden gem for everything.||The cauliflower, spiced just right,|Was Mario’s magic pure delight!|We’d cross the moors through wind and rain,|To taste that dish just once again.||Then gnocchi soft as clouds above,|And chicken Milanese we love.|Each bite a hug, a tasty tune|Our bellies danced beneath the moon.||And Beth, our guide with candy hair,|Served joy with every plate and care.|With views that stole our breath away,|We wished we’d booked a longer stay.||So cheers to food, to pink-haired grace,|To Mario’s flair and moorland space.|We’ll be back soon, you can be sure|To laugh, to eat, and watch lambs frolic more.

Really lovely evening here last night. Beautiful food, in taste and presentation. I had lemon sole on a bed of samphire with perfectly cooked veg. Very friendly, helpful staff, great views, community oriented|I would've loved to try the locally-sourced scallops with black pudding if they had not been dredged. Was grateful to member of staff who found this out for me. Love to eat great food but not at the expense of damaging the sea bed. Try a source that uses divers instead?|Thank you for a perfect evening

Had the best stay at Wheal Tor Hotel, couldn’t fault it at all. The view from the room was amazing and the room has great facilities, everything you need for your stay. Breakfast is help yourself continental and plenty of choice. Food in the restaurant’s incredible and a wide range on offer. Fully stocked bar with lots to choose from. All staff members welcoming and would do anything g to help. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

the staff are friendly,helpful,make you feel welcome. we have been here for drinks over the last few days,the views on a good day are fabulous,we were able to sit outside. today we had lunch from the "summer specials"menu. really lovely ,good portions,and a move away from "pub grub", if you want pub grub,there is a traditional menu. the wines are of good quality/good price. look forward to going back and tryingthe sunday lunch soon

I just recently had my birthday lunch at the restaurant and can say we all had a great time, all 12 of us and 2 kids. The staff were great food was very good and the views from the conservatory are amazing. It's a great place to eat, and they accommodate parties. Will definitely be going back!

What an amazing place! We had our wedding here last weekend. The whole experience from start to finish was great. The staff are so friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. It felt very special to have our celebration at such a magical spot. The food and service was faultless - everyone had such a lovely time. If you're looking for an informal (yet meaningful) wedding venue, then this is certainly the place for it. The moorland backdrop is just stunning too. Thank you Wheal Tor - we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
