Lovely place to stay , warm & inviting , great host and fantastic value

We came across this lovely B&B by chance. What a lovely place. The owner Margaret's hospitality was second to none to both us and our wee dog. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and certainly set us up for the day. Another couple staying there were returning guests for the past four years. I can understand why. I would highly recommend it and will be returning guests ourselves.

We stayed one night in a double room facing the street. We had a private bathroom located in the hall just outside the room (got a private key). The rooms which are decorated in an old fashioned style are clean and very comfy. Just the way i picture a b&b in a small English town. The host Margaret is the loveliest lady and so service minded. The house also has a garden with lots of flowers and plants. Breakfast is good and mostly consists of meaty stuff.

We had been recommended this place as we visit BoT often. What a lovely place it is. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and extremely warm and comfortable. There were toiletries and DVDs and tea, coffee and biscuits. There was even a dressing gown which was a great touch. Margaret was a fantastic hostess and nothing was too much trouble. Her breakfasts were huge and delicious. This is my idea of what a traditional B&B should be. It's handy for everything within Berwick and we will definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay because of the owner who was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, very homely with a private bathroom.|Unfortunately the room we stayed in also was near a seagull nest and from about 4am it sounded like they were in our room. It was sooooo loud and went on for what felt like forever. I didn’t sleep well. |Breakfast was ok but the tinned mushrooms were really quite awful. |This is a very traditional bnb and it’s lovely. If I had slept I would stay again but as it stands I wouldn’t return unfortunately.

Excellent little place situated in the centre of town. Price was very very reasonable and the hospitality, homely. Rooms are neat and tidy.

Was even offered breakfast though I hadn't paid the little extra for it (of which I accepted and ate well). Delicious.

The lady who runs the inn is a very happy, smiling, welcoming and sweet woman.

Comfy beds and warm rooms, expect a good stay if you go.

Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was good if not inspired. Communal breakfast table, not everyone's idea of fun. Our hostess, Margaret Rutherford (not the late actress of the same name) was very friendly and kind.||||The decor and the plumbing are both dated; the feeblest shower I've ever come across.

Margaret is such a lovely lady. nothing is a bother. lovely quaint clean rooms, such a tremendous breakfast all freshly cooked and so filling. area perfect for all sightseeing. plenty of coffee or tea. she is amazing. you just keep returning to this lovely place
