So the positive we had somewhere to sleep for the night and that's where is ends. Upon arrival we were greeted by a giant plant that was dead, after we found Reception we were taken up to the deluxe double room I'm unsure was was deluxe, no cleaning done. No sugar, blood on the walls, scuffs all over the poorly painted walls and the seal at the bottom of the bath leaked when having a shower. We got told the door is open 24 hours a day I think this is because the handle was hanging off rather than convenience however. Keycode access to rooms which I have never seen before. Everything just had a seedy kind of feel to it. Not good at all we left as soon as we knew we could get a train back. The building has so much potential but unless some serious money is spent on this place then it will go under rapidly. Minus points given if I could.

The venue is decent, although all the chairs were stacked on the tables in the restaurant. The owner was cheerful and greeted me like an old friend, showing me to the room which has a key code instead of key. I went down for a drink at the bar later and was served quickly and left to my own company. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but it was tired and worn.

Instead of curtains there are office blinds which meant the sun was steaming in before 6am. There are scratches and repairs everywhere. The TV remote was nowhere to be found, but there's decent WiFi if you bring your own device. The showers good, once you work out the broken taps otherwise you rush scolding yourself. Both taps in the bathroom run hot water, so the water glass is redundant but a nice touch. Fine if you're on your own and need somewhere comfortable and affordable to crash. Harehills has little going on though.

The positives were that the receptionist was very polite and welcoming, as was the gentleman who showed me to my room, and to be fair the bed was comfortable and a reasonably good nights sleep was had.|The hotel appears to be stuck in a 70’s time warp and is in need of some serious care and attention, poorly maintained and strange plumbing- very hot water from the cold tap!|Interesting items in the bedside cabinet included headache tablets, condom and a cigarette lighter! Presumably a sign that rooms are not cleaned properly.|Luckily I was only in the room to sleep, shower and leave, as if I had wanted to watch the limited TV I would have had to send out for a remote control. |Bulbs missing, broken door lock replaced by a Yale, frayed badly fitted carpet and broken blinds in the room added to the general feel of a neglected business.|Shame as it has the potential to be a nice place.

Was cheap and got what we paid for. Looked rather like they were doing renovations at the time. Very hard to find anyone to book in and to pay. Rooms could do with work, eg loo roll holder broken, holes in walls where fittings changed. But OK. Clean and good bus service into town 5 mins walk away

Infested with bed bugs when I stayed ( around the time that the owners changed the name from the Great Cyrus Hotel ) ||||I travel every week on business and have never encountered this problem before- anywhere ! ||To make things worse , they have simply ignored my complaint - and don’t ever think that Booking.com will help - they’ve been next to useless - and disgracefully are still advertising the place in their platform . Don’t stay here unless you want to be bitten.
