The first thing you hear is the birdsong. Whitmore is peace, an oasis of calm in nature. Welcoming, kind & interesting hosts, a beautiful property, clean & pleasant accommodation. I had a lovely time while staying in the single room. The room was perfectly big enough as a base to come back to each evening after being out and about in the area. Rita's vegetarian breakfasts were plentiful and very filling. And the gardens and grounds are beautiful. Whitmore is a very pleasant place to stay and the hosts are lovely.

An old idiosyncratic house with awkward entrance to gated drive. It did not feel welcoming. We were warned not to open the bedroom window as bats got in and were sometimes found in the bed and drawers. A sign on the bed asking us to make sure we slept between the sheets, implied the duvet covers were not changed between guests . At breakfast my wife asked for coffee and was told to make it herself from one of two jars of instant. On the plus side the village pub, not recommended by the b and b owner herself, was excellent for an evening meal.

A fabulous, comfortable and friendly place to stay. Everything you could wish for and much more! A beautiful house with great facilities, amazingly comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast. The hosts are the kindest people you'll ever meet. We will definitely stay with them again.

Don't be put off by the 'Vegetarian' sign on the roadside. With just one twin bedded room to let (and what a lovely room overlooking the beautiful garden) this place is a gem and Rita is a warm host. Bedroom and private bathroom has every amenity you could expect and the breakfast was very comprehensive. A grill of poached egg, field mushrooms, grilled tomato and vegetarian sausages was cooked to perfection. Excellent value for money. We shall be back again!

Arrived after a long journey to be greeted by the lovely Rita into her beautiful house. The room was very comfortable with everything you could possible imagine to make you welcome. I didn't come specifically because it was vegetarian (as I'm not one!), but the breakfast was well cooked and thought out and certainly filled me up. I spent a while chatting to Rita as I was dropping my son off to Uni and I live 5 hours away, I was feeling a little fragile and certainly enjoyed her company. The house is also immaculately clean and room overlook a lovely garden. The only negative for me was where the house was and that I wanted to get a taxi to meet me son in town and it was very expensive. That has nothing to do with the quality of the stay though. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful, peaceful place. The host Rita was very friendly and accommodating. Gave me some good advice about the local area. Bedroom was spotlessly clean and loved all the quirky details. Its a sanctuary if you just want to get away for some peace and quiet

With just one twin bedded room and one single, sharing one bathroom this is only offered to one family. Spacious twin room with comfortable seating and every detail you could wish for. Warm welcome from Rita to her home. Good spread for breakfast, including cooked to order vegetarian sausages, eggs, mushroom and tomato.
