Stayed here for 2 nights. Pitches are clean, wide, where we stayed you could empty your septic toilet on the spot as each pitch has got one of them. There is an indoor pool, water was warm. There is no local shop on site, but there are gym, laundrette, bar /restaurant. The venue is very beautiful, the staff is super friendly the menu is rich and food is tasty! Worth the money! There is bingo every two weeks, and live music was superb! There is a bus stop and a short walk to the beach but it's very steep hill down and wouldn't recommend to do it if you have toddlers.
Very quiet and and somewhat boring but it is a great place and would highly recommend! Hence 5 stars!
You deserve it guys and thank you for making our stay pleasant!

Stayed in lodge 30 for 5 days. Lodge was clean and well presented. The view is gorgeous and nice seating area on balcony deck. Everything you need in the lodge, towels, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans. Nice big fridge freezer & washing machine and wifi. Ample parking, on site bar, swimming pool (need to book slot). Would recommend and would stay again

We camped in our motorhome for 3 nights.
I booked it for the location close to the beach and for the onsite pool but that wasn't ready our weekend 😞
The site is in a great location to the beach but it's a very steep hill down.
The fort pub was good and they offer a carvery on Sundays. We didn't eat there but it seemed popular.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Dogs allowed.
It really does need a bit of an update in places like a lick of paint, new outdoor furniture and fencing.
We would go back for sure.

Misleading photos on their website - no sea views as you are low down and dangerously close to each caravan/motorhome so felt unsafe with no privacy. Scruffy run down site. The only good bit was the bar & entertainment. Such a shame

We stayed in our campervan over Christmas for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay. Really quiet and peaceful. Lovely walk down to the beach, gorgeous beach despite the misty weather, steep walk back up but we enjoy walking. Facilities spotless and perfect for our needs. Showers hot. Swimming pool closed for 2 days over Xmas but we were happy on the beach. Staff super friendly and accommodating, including the young man at the bar who offered to walk us to our pitch even though the weather wasn’t nice, as we’d arrived late and it was dark, luckily we found our way no problem. Hard standing pitches, level and with plenty of room and a short walk to the loos etc. Everything we needed for a brilliant break away and a fab Xmas. Will definitely be back 🙂

Excellent campsite with a special offer for staying in a motorhome. ||Fully serviced pitch on a gravel hardstanding, which was great as it rained a lot and the grass pitches were very wet and muddy. We had no problems on our pitch. ||Spotless swimming pool area. Nice hot showers. The attendant (Bridget) was lovely and helpful, and she was constantly making sure the place was clean and tidy. Great job!||The pub/bar was perfect for our evening meal with a few drinks. Piping hot food and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Fair prices. ||Lovely beach at the bottom of the cliff, but it’s a steep climb back up! We just took our time, and it was well worth the effort.||The only downside was certain people with dogs. The booking form makes it abundantly clear that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, but some people clearly felt this didn’t apply to them and were very happy to let their dogs run off out of sight, out of control. How the campsite could regulate this I don’t know. I guess you always get people who end up ruining it for everyone.

The Tamar rooms are really comfortable but basic. The bed was bliss but there were no bedside tables and the only lighting was room main or leave the toilet door open/light on. The mirror either in bathroom (water+electrickery 😬) or in a cubby with no sockets, which meant electrical hair thingies problematic to use. We also had noisy neighbors whose room must have had many more cupboards and doors than ours, judging by the amount of closure thumps we could hear. But we just turned up the TV in the end. The staff are very friendly and super helpful, even offered us a lift to our engagement when the taxi didn't show up.

Swimming pool visit very disappointing. The changing room is cold and appeared unheated, the toilets are freezing, and with broken locks on the doors. The shower area is unheated and very cold, and the showers have black mould at the base, and give thin, brief jets of water, so it was very difficult to shower effectively. |The water in the pool felt cold, and the pool base and sides have black marks all over with a few off-putting black bits floating past our faces. The pool area is also unheated, just covered, one end of which has a large broken section covered by wooden boarding which has black mould all over the base. |Staff pleasant, but this place needs a lot of repair and cleaning up, adequate heating in the changing areas, and warmer pool water too.
