Great stay over new year. Staff were all excellent and went over and above to make our stay enjoyable. We paid extra to upgrade the room and it was well worth it, excellent view over the golf course, our own balcony, well appointed room with a good shower. Lovely bar area to sit and relax. We ate in loft 18 on the first evening and had a great meal. The New Year’s Eve gala ball was well organised, with nice meal and good entertainment. |We used the swimming pool and while the changing room was slightly tired it is a great amenity and available at no extra charge. I really do not understand the negative reviews. Well done to the team who worked over New Year, you are a great asset to the hotel.

Nice hotel
Stayed for a New Years Eve Gala.
The staff were amazing and a real credit to the hotel.
Dinner nice. Rooms were fine - nothing amazing but clean and warm.
Breakfast very average.
Has a pool, which was nice, slightly cool for my liking. The jacuzzi bit was a waste of time as attached to the pool so it was cold. However the sauna and steam room worked well and were clean and spacious. Changing rooms need a bit of a refurbishment but handy just to go back to your own room to shower etc. We stayed in a superior double so it was in the main part of the hotel.
The Bar area was nice, roomy with comfy seating areas.
Overall not bad value for money. Don't expect posh or amazing but I would go again.

Lovely hotel with accomodation in separate buildings. The welcome we had from reception on arrival was so warm and friendly - likewise for every member of staff we spoke to. They clearly put a lot of effort into their customer service. Really relaxing bar area, very nicely decorated restaurant and good size ensuite room. Lovely having a spa also. We didn't use the golf course.

Husband and I have stayed for 1 night whilst he had a meeting. We had paid an extra £20 to arrive early. We came to check in at 1pm to be rudely told check in isn't until 3pm!!!!! With that response straight away I became rude back. Replied, we paid for an early check in. No apology at all. so really not a great start. I thought 'great' no children and I can use the spa whist hubby goes off to his meeting. Finally found our room after getting lost (staff helped me find it) room was clean but dated. I don't have a problem with that. So got going to the spa. Quite excited as I don't get to have a spa very often. But stepped foot in the pool and jacuzzi and it was so so cold I got straight back out. So disappointed 😞 had a treatment. The staff member was lovely. I can't say a bad word about her. Would I stay again? No is the answer

Stayed over for the New Year Gala Ball, which was excellent and very well organised. Food was delicious, drinks reasonably priced, and fantastic DJ and singer. We were really pleased to have a table to ourselves as normally when we go away for New Year we have to share a large table with other couples. Staff were very professional and friendly||The hotel though is looking quite tired and dated and really could do with some renovating. The women’s changing rooms in the spa were really bad, there was a leak in the ceiling right as you needed to walk through to the lockers so was hard to get past and there were filthy towels to mop up the spilt water. The electronic locks on some of the lockers didn’t work and the rest of the lockers had nothing to secure them, I had to ask at reception for a padlock to keep my belongings secure. The tiles on the swimming pool were grimy and looked like they needed a good scrub. The sauna and steam room were nice and modern.||We were upgraded to a deluxe room (room 109) but apart from the views of the golf course we couldn’t see what was deluxe about it. The furniture was old fashioned and bashed, and the room was so dark we had to ask for an extra lamp. There was a shower curtain in the bathroom over the bath (which was far too long for the shower, I stepped on to the bottom of it accidentally after I was blasted in the face by the shower and slipped but luckily didn’t fall thanks to my husband!). There weren’t any nice little extras you might expect like dressing gowns, premium toiletries or a fridge. The beds were comfy if a little bit soft for me but worst was that there is a gap somewhere in the seals of the patio windows/doors and in the high winds there was a whistling noise all night. The walls of this room were thin and we could hear room 110 next door shouting at each other in the early hours despite having ear plugs in because of the whistling windows||Breakfast was ok quality, the hotel was obviously very busy and staff were clearly struggling to keep on top of changing tables and serving tea and coffee. The receptionist Clair who checked us in had asked what time we wanted breakfast so we were under the impression a table had been reserved for us at 9.45am but this was not the case (Clair was a bit of a character, she initially told us we couldn’t check in because it wasn’t 3pm even though we had booked an early check in and also told us we needed to have a shower before 6pm because of the water pressure, thought all of this was a bit of a strange first impression to give guests)

I was the lead booker for our company Christmas Party 2024. |Having been challenged to find a new venue for a party night with hotel stay, I knew of the Windmill from previous events and LinkedIn activities, but hadn't ever attended anything for Christmas or stayed overnight before.||The entire booking process was incredible all thanks to Alex!|Her patience and attentiveness with me, and our booking were exactly what I needed to set my mind at ease.||The Masquerade party itself was fantastic!|The room was stunning. |The entertainment was brilliant, from the DJ to the live singer.|The food was hot! Tasted great and the portions were perfect.|The bar did get busy, but that is to be expected!||The hotel is lovely.|I would recommend upgrading to the Deluxe Rooms to anyone!|The rooms were large, very comfortable, tastefully decorated to be in keeping with the setting and had the most gorgeous views of the golf course.|My room was ground floor, so I had a terrace area with seating which was just lovely in the morning.|Breakfast was great. Hot and plentiful! The restaurant area breakfast is served in is really nice.||All the staff we encountered were fab! We had a laugh with the team on the bar and reception.|The team working the actual party didn't stand still for a second.||Would we go again?|Yes!|I've already requested to book the same for next year. |We've found our new Christmas Party venue for sure.

Spent a spa day here with some friends. Price was good scalp massage was good. Pool is nice size but very cold. Sauna was excellent steam room was tepid with NO steam very disappointing
2 course lunch ore booked for 1pm food didnt come out u til 1:50 and the beetroot salad was very small tasteless and had only a few small cubes of beetroot. Again this was disappointing
Overall enjoyed the day but wouldn’t recommend the salads

We have just returned from a new year break here, we had an absolutely wonderful time, the hotel is really nice and the staff are very friendly and attentive, Amy and Catarina who lead the bar and restaurant team were exceptional and worked so hard, the food was really top notch and plenty of it, I really don’t understand the negative reviews on here, can only think they must have been in a different hotel to me lol. |The view from our room over the golf course was amazing and the balcony was a lovely bonus, the room was spacious and very clean and comfortable, the pool/bars and lounge areas are very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.|Would definitely return,|There are also good car charging stations
