Feel like at home, in a nutshell. John ensured I was greeted like an old friend, despite being there for the first time, and showed me around. Slept on the most comfortable bed in England, and at the end, the Lady Christine's special breakfast blew my slippers off. All in all 20/10. Thank you for having me, from the bottom of my heart!

I was on a bike packing trip and was looking for a cheap but comfy overnight stop, somewhere I could rock up on my bike and keep it secure. I found Wings on Booking,com and my experience with them was really friendly from the off. The owner, Chris, and I texted during the day as my ETA was a bit fluid bing on the bike! When I arrived, her and John were very welcoming, gave me access to their outbuilding to store my bike and showed me to my room. This is basically an annex room attached to their bungalow, but is nicely self sufficient, with great snacks, wifi, en suite and TV. Perfect for a quiet stop over. I walked into Oakham for a pint and some chips that night and then got a good night's sleep in the comfy bed. Breakfast the next morning was set on a trolley and delivered by John at a pre-arranged time. It was well stocked with cereal, croissants, fruit, toast. Loads to fuel me for the day ahead! Thanks for the lovely welcome.
