A lovely cafe with friendly staff. The cafe is clean and spacious. There is a large seating area outside looking over the marshes and a great place for children to play. The tea and coffee selection is great. Delicious cake, pastries, savouries, and rolls. Well priced.

We came specially for the self guided tour of the garden having seen reviews on the internet. However when we arrived, we were a little confused as to where it was. There wasn’t any signs directing you. We went into the cafe and ordered some takeaway coffees and asked the staff. We were told that we needed to come to the cafe to collect a badge. It would have been useful to provide some information at the time of booking, so that we don’t feel lost on site. Fortunately, the staff were helpful and we enjoyed the coffee on our walk round.
The initial route around the garden wasn’t much to write home about. It was overgrown and looked unkempt. Maybe that’s what they called rewilding…
We sat amongst the bluebells on a bench and ate our picnic. Then we followed the cut lawned path to the walled garden.
When we entered, the staff didn’t acknowledge us. So we had a quick walk round and left. It was a bit disorganised and we had already visited a few gardens around North Norfolk, so was expecting a certain standard. Holkham Walled Gardens which we visited over the weekend was £7 entry. That was spectacular! This was £5… The good thing was that it was dog friendly….

Very disappointing visit to the cafe.Having been a must place to visit in the past, to have some lovely and interesting home cooked food, it has obviously changed hands since last year. Now it is nothing more than an out and out coffee shop serving the usual arary of drinks and cakes that can be sampled in any one of the already numerous cafés along the Norfolk coast.

Not a patch on the ‘old’ cafe. Only pre packed sandwiches and dry tasteless cakes. No hot food. Staff are friendly and cafe is newly decorated. There are much better cafes to visit in the area.

Cafe has obviously changed hands as a very nice newly decorated cafe! However we tried to buy some teabags today and the girl behind the till was just rude.

Very good food and the sausage rolls are to died for and same for ham salad bread things staff very welcome.o will some one please give Desmond eyebrows trim .

New cafe maintains its original charm overlooking the marsh but dry and tasteless lemon & elderflower cake and 'Desmond's Delight' was disappointing.
