We were fortunate recently to supply Medi Spa with some double sided curtains. From start to finish as a company they have been a dream to deal with as a customer. The staff were incredibly friendly and always asking our staff if they required anything. Ed who we primarily dealt with was great to work with and was very clear about what he wanted. I was lucky enough to have James McDiarmid operate on me for my first breast augmentation some 20 years ago. My experience then was first class which is why I decided to track James down for my replacement breast augmentation.

With the help of Google I quickly learned that James had realised his dreams by opening Wood MediSpa Private Hospital. I contacted James, and he quickly replied saying he would be "very happy to help".

I had a face-to-face consultation with James at Wood MediSpa. The hospital was jaw droppingly beautiful and the staff I met during my initial visit were all very kind and friendly. James as always was the perfect gentleman, and he took time to discuss with me all my options. I was shocked that he even had access to my notes from 20 years ago. James and I decided on the course of action, and I booked my surgery date.

On the day of my surgery, I arrived at 7:30 am I was shown to my lovely private room and Holly and Zoe introduced themselves. They are both a credit to Wood MediSpa, and the care I received from them was exemplary. I was incredibly nervous, but they both put my mind at ease. I was shown the menu for my meals during my stay, and it felt as if I was reading a menu from a Michelin star restaurant. The food options were beautifully worded and beautifully presented. Please take time to read the history of the estate of Wood MediSpa in the back of the menu it is very interesting. The anaesthetist introduced himself to me and James came and visited me prior to my surgery to recap on everything we had discussed during the initial consultation and to draw on me etc.

I was taken down to theatre by a lovely man and all the staff in the theatre were friendly and made me feel instantly at ease.

The surgery all went as planned and as I came round from my general anaesthetic, I was greeted by James' lovely face reassuring me that all had gone well.

I was taken back to my private room where I was cared for by Holly and Zoe (Zoe made the best tea). I never once felt like I had been left too long or that I needed to ask for anything as both Holly and Zoe pre-empted everything I would need. I also had a lovely lady called Natalie who cared for me during the night, and she was also amazing.

The morning after I was suffering from a little nausea and was quickly given something to ease this. I had a wonderful breakfast and managed to get myself up and dressed before my discharge. James came to the ward early that morning to check in on me and to give me details on my aftercare etc. You are sent home with a lovely bag with everything you need to aid your recovery.

I am now two and a half weeks post-surgery, and I am delighted with the results. I have followed James' instructions regarding my aftercare and recovery and feel that I am progressing nicely. Once again this has been made easy with the ongoing support I have received from James and his team.

I think my review shows that going for surgery at Wood MediSpa is a whole new experience and one that I feel very privileged to have had. I know providing surgery and aftercare in this way has been a lifelong dream of James’ and he's endured several challenges along the way to achieve this. I would imagine that when he sits back and looks at what he has now accomplished at Wood MediSpa it has all been worthwhile. Thank you to James and his amazing team for making my whole experience at Wood MediSpa feel like a magical one.

I am that impressed I’m sat in the hospital bed the morning after having a deep neck lift and neck lipo and I’m so happy even before I see the results because the surgeon James made it clear things can be altered if there is any problem. James is the kindest and gives you the feeling that he loves to make this difference he is
going to make to your life and it’s what he loves coming to work and assures you he will do everything to make it the best results he possibly can. Everything about this place feels premium and 5 star to the service you get, the food, the kindness and the smiles. I don’t feel like I could be in better hands so impressed. Sitting at home the day after my augmentation-mastopexy (breast uplift and implants) and I'm absolutely blown away - in fact, I've cried multiple times today in sheer happiness.

I was so nervous when I arrived for my consultation but I had heard many good things from other people about James and I was immediately put at ease by the professional, calming and overall aura of James - I felt in such unbelievably safe hands - I could of had it done that day! My husband and I agreed he is exactly the kind of surgeon you trust, I felt reassured about all of my concerns and was nothing but excited when I left.
A couple of months later, I attended Wood Medi spa as a patient and it is a wonderful place - I have never met so many kind, friendly and happily attentive staff.

Everyone in the team involved in the surgery were so lovely and professional, every single one introduced themselves and I felt everything was done so 'by the book' I felt nothing but warmth and excitement for the procedure. I woke up and a kind face greeted me and I felt really happy.

The nurses on the ward couldn't do enough for me - I felt like they were my friends and they all sounded so happy together plus when helping me, I could tell they all enjoyed what they do. I didn't even have to ask for pain relief they just kept coming to offer it (what a difference from the NHS to say the least), It was such a wonderful experience and to be honest, I'm sad it's over haha! Also the food - I would happily pay good money for that in a restaurant, SO good!

Everyone kept checking in with me, staff at the end of their shifts said goodbye and when I saw James the next morning I felt like I was going to cry again saying thank you. My breasts from breastfeeding and weight loss were absolutely destroyed - now, well they are phenomenal, more perfect than I can ever of imagined.

I feel like this experience has honestly changed my life, my confidence and happiness - I cannot thank everyone enough. I'm already recommending Wood Medi spa to everyone! X

Where do I start ….. incredible! You feel so relaxed and welcomed. From arriving, to the warmth of my experience with Holly and Zoe before my surgery. Then I went to ‘theatre’ where the view was incredible and they were playing 80’s music. I fell asleep to Anastasia holding my hand. Louis the anaesthetist was incredible…. And then I was asleep 😁 I woke up to a dedicated nurse tending to my every need all night! But let me add that my surgeon James came to check on me after hours and was happy to sit and talk to me and answer any questions I had! He is amazing …. I had Natalie, Zoe, Holly, Anastasia, Felicity, Louis and most importantly James and I can’t fault a single moment in their care so thank you! I will go back here time and time again if I needed to! You I couldn’t be in better hands so thank you

An amazing setting and fabulous team, so happy to help you. The food is a total 5* experience. James McDiarmid is an amazing talented professional. He spends time talking to you telling you what’s happening and how you will feel. All are so kind and make you feel special. His work is unbelievable . I am so pleased he was recommended to me as I shall recommend him to anyone who needs help. Thank you Wood Medispa it’s early days but I am so happy with my results.

I had an issue which I was concerned about sent in an email and photos within a couple of hours someone was on the phone to me putting my mind at rest. Wood medi spa are only too happy to help and answer your questions.

I can not rate Wood MediSpa and James McDiarmid highly enough. From my first consultation I was put totally at ease and had every confidence in letting him make the final decision on the day to achieve the results I wanted. The surroundings are very impressive and the building stunning and the team who looked after me were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone I met was friendly, professionally and caring. I was so well looked after I didn't want to leave. The Nuffield pales into insignificance to the care I received at Wood MediSpa. The follow up care has also been great and I am so pleased with the results, I should have done this years ago....worth every penny. An added bonus was the food was also lovely, especially the breakfast. I need to have something else done, so I can go back 😁

After searching for years I FINALLY discovered Dr. Paul and I'm so happy that I waited and came from Texas all the way to the UK for him to do my foreheadplasty surgery! He was so nice, answered all of my questions, made me feel so comfortable and welcomes and honestly has the best assistant (Karen) and coworkers/staff that I've ever met!
