We revisited the Woody yesterday evening for the first time in many years (I used to live in Winscombe!) and we're not disappointed. What an amazing menu to choose from and
all four of us really enjoyed our meals. Well cooked, presented and great portion sizes. All the staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful, from the bar staff to the table servers. You should be proud of them.
We all would recommend a visit and we certainly won't leave it so long.

Perfect way to end a fab walk with beautiful local views. Our walking group had our Christmas roast here today and could not fault anything. Meat was lush, great range of fresh vegetables (sprouts, cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli and red cabbage). Staff were amazing - efficient, friendly and very accommodating. Lovely atmosphere and felt very welcome. We will definitely be back … many thanks

Had a Christmas lunch here today. I had turkey and it was excellent, as was the service. There was a good variety of vegetables, all perfectly cooked and seasoned. I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage. Much the best roast dinner I have ever had out.

I was attending a Sidcot School thirty year reunion. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and it was £5 a pint. The Woody has parking to the rear, is in a central location for Winscombe, has a camber alley with small pins and balls, dining area, outside seating area and main bar area.

Extensive menu which will cover all needs. Food was perfectly cooked and presented. Booked table by email for table as was with my dog and booking handled perfectly with email back confirming everything. Service was excellent. Couldn't fault this pub... Excellent.

Went there for Christmas meals. Food was average, and service ok. Had to remind staff tea and coffee should be offered, not just coffee. Staff on the whole weren't interested in adhering to requests for changes in pre booked meals. People had asked for no gravy and this wasn't given. And it was all pre prepared. The sausage in pigs in blankets tasted funny The salmon was overcooked and dry, and the potatoes were so crispy. people had to have help to cut it up, and if eaten, people could choke on the crunchy bits or lose their teeth.
Was it worth £27 for a 2 course- no.

Exceptional customer service, so friendly, and with fab local knowledge too. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The bar and restaurant have such a welcoming friendly feel, our room was very clean. Our only comment was the bed was very firm, however when we mentioned it, they gave us an extra duvet as a mattress topper, which did help a bit. Will definitely go back.

This is a lovely place to stay. The atmosphere in the bar area is cozy and welcoming. We also really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The cheese board was a delight. |Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was 5 star!!|The staff were great too. Overall, a great experience.
