We recently attended a wedding here and it was absolutely stunning. This is a lovely beautiful hotel. The grounds and the hotel were just perfect. The food was fantastic and well enjoyed by all. Just perfection. Our little boy loved the games outside, definitely kept him entertained during the photos. Was a truly magical day.

Afternoon Tea; I came here with my friend and sister for a little catch up, after a recommendation from a friends daughter who attended a wedding here. The service was a little slow, even though we were the only ones in the dining room. We were not impressed with the afternoon tea, it was definitely not worth the £24.50 each we paid for it. From the advertising photos we expected delicate little finger sandwiches and cute dainty cakes, what we got were dry scones and big lumps of sponge cake surrounding a slab of custard tart.
Overall a disappointing experience, we won't be returning!

Our daughter’s wedding was here on the 29th. Everything was faultless. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The wedding breakfast was superb. The outside areas are very well kept and spacious. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue for any event.

Where to begin? From the moment myself and my now husband viewed the wedding venue we just feel in love. The staff are second to none and couldn’t have been more helpful each and every time we visited. ||We first went to Woodlands in August 2022 to have a look around as a potential wedding venue and we met with Abbigail who was so helpful, after walking around the venue we both just knew we had to get married here, so we went ahead and booked. ||Throughout the whole planned process I cannot thank Abbigail and Jess enough for answering all of my questions. ||We had our big day on Saturday 22nd of June and I don’t think I’ll ever have the words to describe how incredible our day was but perfection comes close!! ||Myself and my bridal party got ready in the bridal preparation room and it was STUNNING, we had breakfast and Prosecco brought to the room and if we needed anything else the staff were on hand instantly to get it for us! ||The attention to detail in the room set up who unbelievable and was more than I had ever dreamed. ||Marc our toastmaster for the day was AMAZING, everything ran so smoothly throughout the day and it is all thanks to Marc. ||The food and service was outstanding and every single one of our guests loved their meals. ||The bridal suite on the evening was immaculate and the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! ||I will never be able to express how grateful we both are for hosting our perfect day!! ||I will be recommending Woodlands to anyone, you guys are amazing!!! ||From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!!! ||The New, ||Mr & Mrs Abid xxxx

We booked an afternoon tea for my Dad’s 80th birthday and we were thoroughly spoiled by the fantastic team at the Woodlands Hotel. The private room was such a bonus, the food was delicious and the service was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making my Dad’s birthday a special one to remember.

If you’re in doubt of booking a wedding here please have no fears! Had the best day! The orangery is such a lovely space for the ceremony, meal and evening party. Massive thank you to all the staff! Special mention to Abigail, Jess and Mark who really went above and beyond. A special place! Really convenient for travel as it’s close to motorways, Leeds, Bradford etc.

This was the smoothest wedding I'd been to. Food was good and hot, staff were great and always happy to help. The outside area was perfect and the turnaround of the main room was rapid.
The location being so close to Leeds makes it super easy to get to from the centre or via motorway.

Expensive rooms. All charged the same but size and quality varies. Too hot in summer as no air con and our bedroom only had a small window that opened. Bedroom had secondhand mismatched old furniture (not antique). Decor in poor condition. Breakfast was short staffed for number of guests staying. Ran out of plates and food. Breakfast food that was available was dried up and tough to eat. Dinner excellent but breakfast quality let it down. Excellent wedding venue but would recommend staying elsewhere as others nearby are cheaper and better quality.
