My husband and myself have just spent 5 nights at this fabulous hotel for our 35th wedding anniversary. So peaceful and quiet. I cannot speak highly enough about the brilliant staff and food. We have been here many times and it is very homely. See you all soon xx

Been to the Woodlands Hotel today with family for the special Easter Dinner. Well what can I say it was brilliant from start to finish. The staff were all friendly and the service was excellent. The food was amazing and catered for food allergies too. Lovely outdoor area and very accommodating for children and babies. We will sure be back.

We booked this as a last minute get away to celebrate good news, and so happy we did. The lodges are more then equipped (although some flutes wouldn't go a miss) |The whole place is very quiet and relaxing with everything you need for a peaceful stay. |The beds are super comfortable, as are the sofas. The bath is amazing with the added bonus of a proper sauna room to sweat away the day. |Everything is super clean, and for a pet friendly place, there is nothing to say a pet had previously stayed. The lodges where warm and keep the heat in easily. |The hotel itself can be busy, but the team behind the scenes absolutely speak for the love of their jobs, and accommodated us into comfy seats for a drink, and where very attentive. While we didn't eat there, the food we saw delivered looked plentiful and delicious. |The lodges have parking for two cars, enough of a welcome package to see you through a stay of a few days. |The only downside to the whole stay, was the main TV in the lodge was a tad small, something a little larger for the space, would really seal the deal. |I will definitely be returning, as everything has been above my expectations and when we return, we will bring the children to enjoy the place as much as we have.

Beautiful Lodge, dog friendly. Very warm and spotlessly clean throughout. Everything you need to enjoy a peaceful relaxing break. Lodges don’t include hairdryers and I forgot mine. After asking at the hotel, they were more than happy to lend me one! |Evening meal in hotel was perfect…the best Creme Brûlée 😉|Take out meals also available for the lodges which we also enjoyed. Just ring & order ahead as it gets busy. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely fantastic stay at WHPL, we stopped in the Birch Cabin! We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. The location is ideal, offering the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion while still being a short drive to all the local shops and tourist attractions.
The cabin itself was immaculate, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing short trip. The sauna and jacuzzi bath were a real treat, adding a touch of luxury that truly elevated our experience.
Honestly, we had absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect! We were so impressed with the cabin and the overall experience that we are already planning our return visit.
To top it all off, I accidentally left my jumper behind, and the staff were incredibly kind and efficient in posting it back to me. Such excellent customer service!
The only tiny suggestion we might make, for families, would be the addition of a small children's play area.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back to the Cabins! 5 stars all the way!

Immaculately clean, great service and great food from the take-away menu. The sauna was bliss at the end of the day hiking around Windermere. Only thing missing was somewhere to dry wet walking clothes but I’m sure if we’d asked at reception they would have provided us with an airer or similar.

Fantastic meal. Large portions of really good food, lovely staff and nice drinks all at a really reasonable price. Definitely a must go if you are in the area. Dog friendly too.
