I have been to countless cafes across the Lake District but never been as impressed with a cafe as I have with the Woodlands Tea Room. Fantastic food, friendly and kind staff and a lovely location. If I were to recommend a menu item from this cafe, it would have to be the caramelised onion and cheese scone, haven’t come across anything that has tasted as good!

Had the best afternoon tea here yesterday, sandwiches were freshly made and you get a choice of what you want as fillings. Everything was homemade and delicious and of course what we couldn’t eat was boxed up for us to bring home so I enjoyed it again today. Highly recommended

Liked my breakfast here we ate in gift shop which was dog friendly but the restaurant might be even nicer. The lovely bird feeders gave interesting viewing we ate. Local produce but not higher score as bacon was a little over cooked and the tomato sauce was terrible.

Good service, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and they filled up my water with some ice cubes too. Will go again.

Staff were lovely and the food was delicious. 9 of us came for breakfast before our mountain climb, all filled and fuelled for the day. Beautiful views whilst in the cafe- can’t fault anything! Definitely worth the visit when in the area. Thank you
