Excellently located campsite with friendly staff and within walking distance to Corfe Castle/village, Harmans Cross train station where you can catch the steam train to Swanage and a footpath from site that leads you through fields (bit of a rocky uphill track) to the quaint little village of Worth Matravers and the old disused coastal quarries. Campsite is well kept and facilities clean (shower tokens can be bought at reception and you get plenty of time and hot water for the 50p token), site can get a tad noisy with large groups but are a choice of fields in which to pitch up. There is a shop on site which is well stocked with a few staple groceries and abundance of very handy toiletries and other bits and pieces.

If you want basic camping with fantastic views and walks. Then this is the place to come, family and dog friendly. You can have electric hook up, shower blocks and toilets... I've been coming here on and off for years.. whenever I'm coming down here this is my 1st preference of site.. it has an on site shop which is open for a few hours on the morning and a few late afternoon to evening.. highly recommend

I had a wonderful time at this site. Had everything I needed here, showers were hot. One token not quite enough to wash my hair and body, 2 tokens a bit to long could have done with an extra 30 seconds on the first token. Shower and toilet blocks clean and tidy. Shop open twice a day with a good range of suitable items on offer. In a great position for visiting the local sites including Swanage, studland and corfe.

this site is great and has a great view of the sunset and the steam strain that pass by, there is also a shop that has everything you need and more including toys for the kids or thing fir activities. showers are simple and are activated by a coin system that gives 4 minutes per token, tokens can be purchased at the shop for 50p each.

Beautiful site. We camped in field 3 (no dogs) and had beautiful views all around. You could see and hear the steam train passing throughout the day which was a joy. Half hour walk through big sunny fields to Harmans Cross Station to get to Swanage. Staff on site were very friendly and welcoming and the shop was well stocked with a huge range of supplies including alternative milks, bacon, sausages etc, snacks, wine and everything else you need. Shop closes during the day but opens again late afternoon into the evening. Other campers kept to themselves so we have a very peaceful time. Half hour walk to Corfe in the opposite direction the next day. Slightly dodgy road walk for 5 mins on a busy road but once you get to Corfe Common it's more fields with horses and sheep to spot. Shower facilities (in the big central block) werr very clean and had token operated showers which were lovely, not too hot. tokens 50p in the shop or ÂŖ1 coin operated ones during shop closing times).|Will definitely come back to Woody Hyde.

An easy booking experience and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. Price to pitch a tent is very reasonable considering the easy access to Swanage and the local area from this campsite. Showers and toilets are very well kept and frequently cleaned to a high standard. The shop is also full of everything you could possibly need for a break away camping.

Fantastic location by the local steam railway which you can see from the campsite. We were made very welcome by woodyhyde staff. Very well stocked shop. Generous pitches, plenty of showers and toilets. Bus stop near the campsite as well as short walk to local railway station. We loved it, will visit again.
