We recently enjoyed a Sunday roast dinner, and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a family meal. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel so welcome.

The food was incredible—tender, flavorful meat, perfectly cooked vegetables, and crispy, golden roast potatoes. But the star of the show was the gravy—rich, delicious, and absolutely irresistible. It brought everything together beautifully!

This was more than just a meal; it was a memorable experience for the whole family. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I came here with my best friend for an overnight stay as part of my birthday celebrations a few days ago.
It was better than expected as we have never been before, and despite the negative reviews previously, our experience was fantastic.
The room was big, lovely decor and super clean, and staff were really friendly and welcoming - we couldn't find any fault here at all compared to previous experiences others had.
The service was also the best we ever received - our food was delicious, and we really had a great dinner and breakfast. Service was made lovely and was given an extra special touch by our server Suram (if I have said his name right) who was so lovely and attentive when it came to serving food and drinks - there were no issues at all.
Bed was comfy and very roomy and the grounds itself were beautiful.
Although the spa is closed at the moment for refurbishment and we couldn't access this, staff have mentioned they're hoping it will be open Summer 2025.

Overall, a great stay.

Very nice location. Impressive drive way. Staff member on desk gave us our room number but no direction on where to go. The room was nice but cold. Our nights sleep was not great as there was a massive air conditioner in the court yard out side that was droning all day and night. We had to leave the TV on just to cover the noise.
The food in the restaurant was ok but the menu was limited. The fact that some of it was unavailable did not help. My wife's desert had what I think was dried rock solid date in it that I couldn't even cut with a knife. Could of easily broken a tooth or choked. A glass of wine was 10 quid. Breakfast was not good. Everything was cold and nothing had been topped up. It was all cooked well but to cold to enjoy. The two tables either side of us complained to staff about the breakfast. All in all I would not stay again

Lovely hotel with absolutely fantastic staff, nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfasts were amazing but the other meals were pretty standard.
Hot tubs with views were available which were great.
Rooms were also brilliant especially the non standard ones.
The outstanding part of the hotel was definitely the staff!

Location is great. Food was ok rather than outstanding. Serving staff should know what's available and what's not, then they don't have to run off to find out. Also, listen to the order and don't get it wrong. Also, waiters would do well to communicate better (don't just go and get a bowl of custard without saying anything; the information would help determine when to start eating).

Hugely better than we expected. We went for an afternoon tea. On arrival were shown to our seats. Staff were attentive but not overly fussing - which is always good. We were served promptly and the food was fresh and great quality. The sandwiches were well filled and supremely fresh. The cakes were delicious and plentiful. The potted tea was delicious and they had decaffeinated. Great product in lovely setting. Also visit the church facing the entrance, it's a lovely tranquil spot for reflection.

Wroxall 'Shabby' was refurbished on a shoestring about 3 years ago. It was ok to start, but the cheap refit is now deteriorating and needs serious attention.

The cleaning of rooms is very poor. In my case, big spiders and cobwebs in corners of room, stained bed sheets and stains on bathroom windowsill.

The hotel changed hands about a year ago as it went into administration. The new owners have not got the correct staff in place, as the customer service is extremely poor. No welcome or greeting on checkout and did not ask how the stay was. No thank you or goodbye either, he just stared at computer screen the whole time.

The buffet breakfast was terrible. Sausages undercooked with a strange vinegary taste. Hash browns were stone cold and toaster took about 5 minutes just to get the bread warm.

Wroxall Abbey has so much potential as the building itself and grounds are incredible. It's just such a shame that it's poorly managed and run.

My partner and I booked a night here as a special treat while meeting some friends at Warwick castle and were extremely disappointed. So much so that we refused to stay, after booking one of their deluxe 4 poster bed rooms we arrived to mould and rot in the coving of the room, it hadn’t been hoovered, we had no toilet roll and it was freezing and stains on the bed sheets.
Upon complaining they offered us a different room which was much the same. The whole hotel is just not up to the standard that it looks on their website by any means, while respecting its an old building and will have quirks it looks like it’s very much been left to get run down, which is fine but I wouldn’t expect the high price tag for this reason. We refused to stay after showing the staff the room without much apology from them, since we have had to ring over 10-20 times to have had rows with the staff over giving us our money back which they said was fine when we left, constant rudeness and excuses as to why the owner of the hotel hasn’t been able to authorise a refund, even down to his own personal life excuses which is extremely unprofessional. I’m sure there are some perfectly fine rooms for a lower budget but really not what we expected for a higher price tag room and the staff are just shocking.
