Wychnor Park Country Club - Burton-on-Trent

Although we left often for soccer/football (Coventry, Wolves, Leicester--and several others within driving distance), we loved staying as the condo was so comfortable with inside and outside spaces. Washer in the unit with a drying room close by as the drying not so good in the combined machines. Played golf; used the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna (fabulous); also played croquet and crazy/mini golf; took great walks to two local towns (Alrewas was our favorite--The Bank coffee/brunch and multiple pubs); walked to very welcoming and old church in Barton-under-Needwood.

Came across this little gem & we were blown away how lovely the place is. Totally amazing , couldn't recommend enough. Everything about the place were fab . My husband played golf in the morning & then we spent the afternoon in the pool , hot tub , steam room & sauna. We had a 2 bed apartment for 2 nights , which amazing. Bigger than my own house. We are definitely returning next month but for longer this time

A little gem in the wilderness, this is a great location and the accommodation is fantastic. We stayed for 3 nights in the Coach house and couldn’t fault the accommodation, the ceilings were tall and the apartment very spacious with lots of equipment available to make the most of the self catering style. The showers were a little disappointing and could do with a general update as a little tired but huge value for money, the real disappointment was the 9 hole pitch and putt. Most of the greens were temporary and the surface was poor. Very much overpriced at £10 a person for the quality of the course, whilst lots of fun it did detract from the enjoyment putting across a bobbly overgrown green. ||The hotel is perfect for visiting Alton Towers which is what we did as we had grown up children in tow, there are lots of supermarkets near by which made it easy to stock up.||One of the biggest benefits this hotel has are the staff, they are friendly and hospitable. A real credit to the company.||Thanks for a great stay just work on the Golf course please so we can have a rematch when we come back

Stayed here after a wedding in one of the cabins.

Hated too arrive very late and the staff were very accommodating.

The cabins were spotlessly clean and had plenty of amenities.

There were many other things to do at the hotel but we had to leave early.

Situated just south of Burton upon Trent and near the A38.

The main hotel is a very expansive building. On a lane adjacent are the cabins.

There are around 19 cabins.

There is a tennis court.

There is also a golf course.

This ideally is reached by car but taxis would come from Burton and Uber worked.

This would be a good place to explore the surrounding area.

All the the cabins were self catering and had good facilities.

Stunning house and gardens with amazing views over the countryside. Woodland perfect for kids to explore, behind the tennis court. ||The room was very good. Comfortable, Cosy, with a garden area. Wychnor Park is a great place to stay, especially to explore the North East Staffordshire and Burton Upon Trent area.

We were allocated a new refurbished lodge and were pleased to see that it was now fully stocked with all you may need after the over-reaction to COVID-19. The unit was two-bedroomed and had all we needed. Appliances were new and in good working order. Very pleased to see an abundance of USB-A sockets throughout the unit. Downsides are (1) no onsite bar or restaurant. This is a shame as access to the resort off the A38 is a little dangerous as you enter a single track road from a very busy trunk road (A38); not for the faint-hearted. This aside, I recommend this resort.

We had a really fabulous time. Stayed here to go to Alton towers. The apartment was far better than expected, very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend

Stayed here as a family. The location is great for many attractions. The apartment was very comfortable and the steam room was divine.
