We were attending a charity ball at Wyboston Lakes in the evening so we decided to head down early and all have spa treatments beforehand to make a weekend of it. We were told we have pool and hot tub access anyway as we were staying at the hotel but when we arrived at the spa we were told it would be an extra £59 per person to access the hot tub / sauna of the spa (despite the £60-£70 each we already paid for massages / facials).
I would expect to be able to use the basic facilities with a treatment.
The treatments on offer were ok but rather vanilla and the treatment rooms lack acoustic insulation as you can hear people entering / leaving the other treatment rooms during what is supposed to be a relaxing time.
Staff were friendly so no issue there.

What a day! First visit and it won't be our last.

Arrived late because of an accident on A421 but they were still very accommodating. Staff were super friendly and helpful, couldn't do more for you.

Had our lovely treatments - facial and hot stone massage and a beautiful mezze lunch.

Thermal Spa was amazing!

To top it all, Duty Manager Lorraine surprised us with vouchers for our next visit as we had missed about 15mins of our day.

Well worth the visit, would highly recommend and we are definitely going back again.

Thanks Y spa

Do not go here if you want a relaxing back massage! I booked in for a medium strength back massage as I carry stress in my shoulders and have a weak neck. Instead was given a mix of what I assume was some sort of sports / intense shoulder massage with a softer lower back massage (two stars for the latter). During the shoulder section the therapist was rubbing the bones on the inner edge of my shoulder blades and popping them back and forth. It was so painful that I couldn’t speak to tell them to stop. I came away feeling beaten up, all my neck and shoulder muscles have seized and I am still very sore and taking paracetamol over 24 hours later. I spoke to a friend and they had a similar experience! They booked in for a sports massage which they described as ‘brutal.’ Avoid unless you want to be seriously pummelled and feel sore after.

Me and Mum really enjoyed our spa day here. We had the Murad summer vibes facial which was lovely and I also had a deep tension shoulder massage. Both treatments were very relaxing and felt great. Great options available within the thermal spa area and drinking water easily available throughout. All areas of the spa were lovely and clean and staff were very welcoming, professional and friendly.

My only criticism, and why a star was lost for me, was that we’d requested a plus size robe to be put in our locker. This robe was grey, when all the other “normal” ones were white. This really singled out the fact that we’d requested an alternative size and I didn’t feel was particularly inclusive of all body shapes & sizes. We went to the spa to have a relaxing day and enjoy ourselves, which we did, but was slightly tampered by the fact that no one else was wearing a grey robe - this left us feeling quite self-conscious when wearing it. Beside this, the day really was lovely and we enjoyed spending time together.

Visited on a Wellness Spa afternoon. Check in/out was easy. Robes and towels were provided in the locker. A range of facilities available which were all clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Claire who was amazing and genuinely cared about customers well-being. Herbal teas and water provided throughout the afternoon. Changing rooms clean and dry, and Elemis products provided for customers use in the showers. Such an amazing experience, cannot thank you enough!

Lovely place and service. Friendly and helpful staff always happy to assist. We've visited a few times for a Spa Day, had a wonderful time each time and will definitely be going back. No comparison with other spas (like Bannatyne for example). Highest level of service, great treatments (aqua massage, hot stone massage and face massage), and tasty lunch (mezze platter). Beautiful atmosphere, great for relaxation.
