Lovely Guest House. Upon arriving, however, nobody was there to greet us or show us to our room. The front door was locked and looked like there wasn't anyone there, so we looked for a number to ring to ask how we could enter the property and what room is ours. 2 phone calls later, we managed to get the number to put in the key code on the side of the door and was told we could have any room that was empty.
Once we chose our room, the room was lovely and clean, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Towels were provided, and there was a kettle provided with tea and coffee. We had to ask the owner for the WiFi password as that wasn't provided or in a place that we could see clearly.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but it was confusing upon arrival.

Booked this guest house for members of my family that were visiting and so pleased that I did. The owners were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble to them. The family were raving about the full english breakfast and said the guest house was very clean & tidy and the owners really friendly and helpful. The rooms were good sizes with great facilities, all en suite & plenty of tea and coffee (usually you're lucky if you get enough for 1 cup each!) I will definitely be booking this guest house again next time the family come to stay. Thanks for making them feel so welcome.

Room was advertised as a triple with ensuite bathroom.||3 beds should not be crammed into this room. It’s like a shoe box.||You couldn’t close the bathroom door unless you were a child and even then your knees would still hit the door.||Never returned the £50 security deposit stating they had to get a lock smith out.||First the door handle was broken on check in which we took a video of before we even entered the room.||Vendor then sent us messages on check out saying they couldn’t find the key, despite it being left in the room. Simply a farce to keep the security deposit.||Would not return, or recommend!

I stayed here with my husband on 1 Dec 2012 and booked it as it was advertised as a 4* Guesthouse. We stayed in a family room (double bed and bunk beds) and were surprised at how small the room was. There was only enough room for the 2 of us so I don't know how a family would get on. There wasn't even a door on the wardrobe. This was because the bed was so close to the wardrobe there would have been no way of opening the door. There were no complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and no hairdryer. Not what I would expect for a guesthouse which is supposed to be 4*. The tea and coffee was in a Tupperware container and the tea bags were not individually wrapped. The room was very dark and the mirror was in a corner of the room that was so dark it could not be used. Breakfast was OK. Not the best we have had. There was no choice of breakfast and we had to wait as the dining room was full when we arrived for breakfast although there were only 6 people having breakfast. Breakfast consisted on one egg, one sausage, two slices of bacon and a spoonful of beans. Would rather have gone to Wetherspoons down the road. Not the best guesthouse we have stopped in. Have stayed in better 2* accommodation.

We stayed here for one night to see Elbow at the NIA. The guest house and rooms are very clean and comfortable. They've got a wee livingroom well eqiped with videos and books, a T.V and video so you could spend all day in there if you wanted to. Breakfast is excellent and parking is excellent theres loads of space at the front of the guesthouse. ||||||I would definitely stay here again and recommened this guesthouse.

I stayed here with my mum and various relatives, we were planning a 5-6 night stay this turned into 3 and half weeks. My dad was in Heartlands Hospital. Where do i start, the rooms, we stayed in room 2 a twin room and room 11 also a twin room, we also stayed in room 12 the family room, all immaculate and well layed out, with flat screen tvs and tea and coffee making facilities re-stocked daily, spotless bathrooms, all the rooms we stayed were more the adequate. ||The rest of Yardley Guesthouse is spotless and run by a very professional, curtious, helpful, friendly, very organised and experiance lady called Sue ( with the help of Dave her husband) The living room area is cosy and comfy with TV, videos books and a very useful supply of leafets, restaurants, things to do in the area, bus timetables, we used a taxi service that was recommended by Sue to get us from and to the hospital daily, always prompt £4.50 excellant value. Breakfast, whatever combination of full english breakfast, eggs on toast, beans on toast, cereal, various jams and marmalade,Tea or coffee and all quality named products, Nescafe, Typhoo, Robertsons, Warburtons. this is a great place to stay, thankyou to Yardley Guest house for making a difficult time easier.

I booked this hotel through hotels.com. The room description was a single room with ensuite bathroom. The actual room did not have a toilet or bath, only a sink. The hotel was hardly full so do not know why the room I was given did not have a bathroom. The nearest toilet and shower were along the corridor. Would pay a bit extra and find a more convenient, better equipped hotel next time. Very disappointing.

A clean and tidy establishment with friendly staff. There is a TV and kettle in the room, and most rooms are en-suite... Blakesley Hall is nearby along with shops, pubs and eateries.|The NEC, Resorts world and Birmingham Airport/International station are a short drive/bus ride away!
