Put of the way. Some camping space, simple and nice cafe. Parking is limited if just visiting. Some canal bank walking. Nice residential static van housing well laid out. Not sure about flooding though.

We visited this campsite for one night with our rooftop tent. The campsite is quite large, with the washrooms and toilets within walking distance. They also have an on-site cafe. Everyone at the campsite was following the rules and it was quiet in the evening. The only downside is that you can still hear motorway noise, and the toilet paper runs out quickly, so make sure you bring your own. Also, the pitch marking could be improved. It is hard to see from far away because the writing is yellow on white. The campsite is in a nice location, with good walks nearby for you and your dog, including a nice walk next to the river. We would likely return.

Lovely campsite with great views around of the countryside. Lovely little cafe there called hannas cafe. Staff were chatty and friendly. Nice food and coffee. Homemade cakes which was delicious.
Great place to do paddle boarding or kayaking. Little walk to nene valley railway.
Downside was how cramped some of the pitches seemed, toilet/shower facilities were OK but not enough for how big the camp site is. Only one toilet/shower block which is quite a trek from most of the pitches(didn't mind the walk tho). Would be queuing for ages just to go to the toilet. They were not regularly cleaned through out the day. So floors would be muddy and soaking wet. Mops needed so you can clean floors after use.
Same with the washing up facilities. Only 3 sinks but only 2 with hot water. So you would be queuing again to wash up.
With some improvements to the facilities and more of them for how big the camp site is it would be an amazing campsite.

We stayed here for a long weekend and we couldn't get in to the pitch set aside for us (Not any fault of the site owner) so the lady on reception kindly moved us and took us in the golf buggy to the new site which was lots of fun. I would thoroughly recommend this place l, it's a great base very central for our needs (Peterborough & Stamford) and is so near the A1 you could stop en route north or south. I couldn't hear the A1 in a tent.

Only stayed one night as part of a wider journey but we'll be back! We arrived out of hours but the staff were so lovely and helpful in accommodating this and supporting us.

The site was beautiful from the entry and throughout.

Can definitely recommend the Angel Inn in Yarwell Village down the road too - a ten minute walk (take a torch!) and the most magical, quirky pub that also serves lovely food.

Had a paddle boarding class here. Never visited and the access was so easy, parking and facility, the area was clean and so beautiful and the river, well . Just stunning. Fully recommend visiting and Rock to Rushes Paddle Boarding session with Jess.

Fantastically peaceful camp site, surrounded by the river Nene. Lovely lake and mill stream too.
The toilet block seems very new and is well appointed, individual showers, central heating and regularly cleaned.
Washing up facilities are standard camping fare.
The only thing that stops it becoming 5 stars is a lack of laundry and a shop selling everyday provisions and camping essentials. Although there is a Londis less than a mile away. But I suppose this is why the campsite is so quite. And the static and caravan pitches are fully booked 12 months of the year.
That said the Ladies run a friendly little cafe on site from 10-3 every day for drinks, snacks, jackets ect.
Lots of local pubs within a mile or 2 and for the urban experience Peterborough is only 20 mins away and was surprisingly nice! (sorry Peterborough!) And the Nene Valley Railway is less than half a mile walk from the site.
If you like a quiet campsite with walks, rivers, wide open spaces and fishing then this is for you.

We came with extended family and there was plenty of space to run about. The staff are friendly, the grounds are lovely. However, getting up close to look over the lakes or by the river (apart from the bit you can fish) does feel like you are invading people's privacy as there seems to be a lot of long stays there.
