Yasin Catering was used to supply the food for a 60th birthday party. I have used Yasin previously many years ago - my experience with communication was much better then as was

I will say the food was very good (although could have been warmer!) the server was great!

However!!! - the communication during the booking process was absolutely dreadful- the worst ever!! Appeared to be no structured process in place for booking catering in -

In making the enquiry for catering of the party- I initially called the landline number it just rang out on several occasions - I did get to leave a message with my details on one occasion nobody called me back ! I even sent an enquiry through their website and nobody responded ! I managed to get hold of a mobile number and eventually got to speak with someone and to make the enquiry, Full details of the venue date and food requirements over the phone, However, I was also asked to send a text message to confirm the venue, I didn’t receive a response to that text message to confirm I’ve been received. I called the mobile number again to ask for confirmation of my booking. I was asked to send details again via text message.!!!
I was also sent a message asking for full payment upfront via bank transfer, Of course I wasn’t happy paying in full -( I didn’t feel confident that the food was even going to turn up!) I said I would pay 60% by bank transfer and the rest in cash when the food was delivered, I also asked for an invoice to be sent through to me, this was sent through on email handwritten on a scrappy piece of paper, not quite what I expected.

I had requested a number of times for food to be delivered at the venue at 8:30pm to be served for 9 , the food was in fact delivered at 730, It was set up and served at nine… That’s probably why it was a bit on the cool side ( even though warmers were supplied!)

Thankfully, the server was great and the food was good. But, I would be reluctant to use this company again because of the initial poor communication experience and lack of overall organisation and professionalism!!
