Just retuned from a long bank holiday weekend , and I have to say how impressed we were with the lakeside lodge. It was extremly clean comfotable , and a place like home from home. (Perfect) I personally went for the fishing , and I had spent some great hours catching carp,tench and bream. The lake was well stocked , and very quiet , most of the time I had the lake to myself. We had a great time , and will certainly return when we can.

All I can really say is wow. The site was spotlessly clean and tidy, as was our lodge. Fishing was superb, and all the staff were so lovely and welcoming. My only regret was not booking a lodge with a hot tub with the weather we just had. Listen if you fancy a perfect break away from the hustle and bustle, with just the scenery and nature for company then this is the place to go. Either just as a couple or to use as a base for the family. You can't go wrong. We've already rebooked for later in the year before we had finished this break.

Everything was fine until the miserable women in PF14 Lodge!

The lake has a water pump and one of the ropes wasn't attached to the post at the other end of the lake and whiles fishing i cought a fish then it got stuck on the rope that was under the water I called the office to let them know what has happened the next day they guy came out to move the pump back to where it was and I see the women talking to the man and the man came over had ago at us for apparently undoing the rope which we never did but I spoke to him again and said we never touched anything and that the women 2 years ago had screamed at us for fishing in the lake and said we wasn't aloud she then went and got someone they then told her we was aloud i have this booked for next year but after that we will avoid coming back which is a shame as its a lovely clean holiday park and all the workers do a brilliant job.

We went as a 3 generation family group. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and family hot tub outside. Would have awarded a fifth star but for some issues with furniture. The whole site was beautiful and secure.

All very clean and tidy, quite location.
Only disappointment was the large new lake only very small fish and the lake with the island although fish are bigger they seem to have decreased in size over years, largest I know of week before last was 8lb.

The cabin itself was very spacious and at a first glance it was very clean. £25 for wifi for 1 weekend is daylight robbery. At home i pay that for a whole month. There is a smart tv but we couldn't use it due to it not being connected to the wifi. There's no evening entertainment on site so it would have been nice to snuggle up and watch a movie in the evening . There were so many strict rules (pages of them in the welcome pack and little notes stuck to things inside the cabin) including expecting us to strip our own beds and sort the laundry into different coloured sacks which i think is a bit much considering we weren't allowed in until 5pm and had to be out by 9am to allow for housekeeping. We regularly have weekends away and the majority of places allow you to check in from 3pm and check out at 10am without stripping the beds and sorting laundry. That being said, once we stripped the beds we could see all the yellow stains on the mattress and pillow protectors which wasn't very pleasant. Despite that we had a very nice weekend. It was very peaceful and we had fun fishing. It was nice to watch the wildlife and the location was good. Unfortunately though i don't think we will return

Nice and clean peaceful site , |We arrived early and after a phone call we were allowed to use the lodge which was great at no extra charge |Thank you |MF1 |Which is situated right behind a car park which is busy being used by people using the cafe which is by the entrance to the site.|The lodge is pet friendly and it comes with a large garden which is secured by a picket fence high on 3 sides enough to keep dogs in away from car park, only downside it’s one side of the garden as no fence only a hedge and some bushes, it as a small stream running behind it and a wire fence before the car park |But it really could do with the picket fence running along the stream side and infront of the bushes |Seems weird it’s not all the way around.|Also be aware that site ground staff come onto the property veranda 🤷🏻and leave the garden gate open |Great with dogs |There is no parking outside the lodge and there’s plenty of space to park that could be used outside lodge but MF1,s car parking space is in the car park.|Lodge is equipped with everything needed and was so clean.|Would of preferred the laminate floor all through the living space |Beige carpet is not ideal with dogs and mud. |Beautiful site and would go back |Just hoping the fence is put up in garden.

Lovely lodge and really clean. The only downsides were the £25 for the patchy wifi which is day light robbery. ||Also we paid for early check in for 3pm which was another £30 and I enquired about late check out and even for one more hour until 10am they wanted £10 after just paying an extra £55 for wifi and early check in. Out of season and could not even flex by an hour. Never had to strip beds and put towels and tea towels into different coloured bags. Considering out of season they could have shown some good will. Like other customers have said check in of 5pm and check out at 9am is madness.
